ya me just brushing her 2 teeth with her tiny toothbrush. No toothpaste. She likes it though.
I tried the Pigeon toothbrush and my boy hates it. So now I'm using the finger brush and "First Teeth" (I think iirc) toothpaste.
I used the finger glove brush n first teeth toothpaste then. I switched to using a normal stage 1 toothbrush recently when the glove brush wore out.
i used to clean her gums with wet gauze cloth since newborn. then after her teeth came out i started using toothbrush . only after she is 1yr old i intro toothpaste. now at 18mths she love to brush her own teeth n does it very well!
I use toothbrush when he was 1yrs old, cos' my son tend to bite and it is painful.....been using the firsttooth toothpaste too
currently i'm only using toothbrush from Pigeon for my girl. She have 6 teeths now... Not quite sure whether to start using toothpaste or not..
Well it is really difficult job to brush the teeth of a ! year old baby. Usually they chew up and sucks the brush like lolly pop. I clean the teeth of my sister's baby in some different trick. I use to make him sing and laugh as he open his mouth and brush is done nicely. The main thing is to make the happy mood of the baby.
When my boy was infant i use soft cloth to clean his gums and tongue. slowly teeth out use the fingertip toothbrush, then pigeon infant toothbrush . there have stage for them. now is using the toothbrush where he already have more then 8 teeth.
he love it. especially i will sing him the brushing teeth song.
I asked my dentist during my dental check. For 1-yr old, can use clean wet cloth to wipe the outside surface. The inside is fine as saliva helps keep it clean.
If my boy is in the mood, I use The First Years toddler toothbrush. Otherwise, just wipe with cloth. Twice a day. I plan to introduce toothpaste only when he can spit things out.
At 2 years old, can bring child to first dental check-up.
