do you ask your hubby to change diapers?

just finished an arguement with dear husband...

He is not happy that i asked him to change diapers..he said that i can do it most of the times on my own.

I have told him that i need him to support me in takin care of son eg change diapers etc... But he said i cried wolf too many times ...

Like that how to have second child?ask him to help is his duty as a father...to support me but he did not see it this way..

I was on the phone chattin with a friend, ask him to change son's diapers , he said 'told you he pooed already, you dont want to change, im not going to change, you change yourself..'

Of course my friend overhears everything...he not happy cos i ask him to change when i tokin to my friend, so he make me lose face by this type of remark...

Walau...

Mummies..do uface this type of nonsense from your spouse?he is 40yrs old today..but mind still not there yet..

What is the process of sterilisation for female reproductive organs called?

my hubby does'not change son's diapers' bathe him nor bathe him.. He's a MCP. He says those are not for men to do.. i told him is bcos he doesn't want responsibilities not bcos he dunnoe how to do. He ask me train the maid to do then i told him i dont trust maid doing it n i rather do it myself. Anyway the process you're talking about is ligation

Wahh... I very long never change diapers liaoo... ask him to take it as a bonding process with the baby.

I think the trigger point is usually when 1 spouse tells the other spouse to do something immediately, when the other spouse is pre-occupied with something else.

Y cry wolf? Just smell or take a peep to confirm will do. Once confirm, then need to activate help.

One way is to agree on who does which part of the process... who lays the mat... who wipe the poo... who lift the legs... who throw the poo... who powder... who apply cream... who wear the diaper... something like that

Usually trial n error to find the best/efficient method.

Dear Chiro....

Man are man.... most of the time they dont use the "right head" to think..... :P

Anyway your dear husband seems to be a bit MCP... think he was like that all the while? Anyway try next time when you doing other things you ask him to change diapers for Johanan..... maybe while you doing "normal" things which you should do like washing dishes or clothes.... If he can help means he feel that talking is not important.... y you keep talking on the phone and not help his dear son to change diapers.....

:P

Cheer up.. no point argue ... anyway your gal friend sure understand...

Re: do you ask your hubby to change diapers?

my hubby changes dear son diapers, wash & steriliser his milk bottles, bottle feed him and play with him everyday. morning he will wake up 10mins earlier to feed dear son before he goes wk... as long as he is at hm, i dont have to do (almost) anything.. cause before i gave birth, i have made things clear to him alrdy, this baby not only belongs to me, also his.. if he cant make an effort to give up some time for his son, very unfair to me and dear son...

he wk 5.5days per week, every sat after when he comes home, he will tell me "baby, it's now your off day until tml night.."

but of cos hswwk lik washing dear son's clothes will be done by me...

Re: do you ask your hubby to change diapers?

Hahaha I also like that one! But my hubby is patient enough to take all my nonsense.

chiro: Your hubby sounds like he has been brought up with everything done for him. Like no need do anything got people wash clothes for him, cook for him, clean up after him, etc. Maybe that's why he believes that these things are your job and not his.

Taking responsibility as a father also means doing all these "dirty work". Not just "aiyo so cute my child!" then play finish throw away. -_-

R you on good terms with your mother in law? If you are can ask your mother in law to talk to him about it.

regina mummy, my husband is also almost like yrs. almost everything about dear son he does, change diaper, feeds, play(except bathing), every morning wake up 1hr earlier to feed dear son so that dear son wont get grumpy when on his way to his mum house, eveyday carry dear son to his mum place.

now that im sick, i cant take care of dear son, told my husband to take leave so that i can rest & recover & he can also take care of dear son.

Re: do you ask your hubby to change diapers?

Take a shopping bag, go shopping outside, let your husband take care of baby himself.
