Hi all mummies, can i check with you isit ok to feed a 6mth old baby with dried scallop (gan bei) porridge? Coz my mother in law say it taste nice n baby will love it. Bt what i know of is dried scallop is salty n isit ok for young baby. I have not cook for y baby to eat yet, dont know ok or not. What i normally cook is carrot, spinach, pork cum threadfin fish for my baby to eat. Am i doing the right thing?
I won't add coz it is salty and has preservatives.
I only added into Iggy's porridge when he was older, around 9-10mths coz I'm afraid he might get allergies to seafood and the salt content.
Babies dont't really know what is tasty unless they are given before then they might start to have a preference.
I think you're doing great now. Continue giving other vegs to make the porridge tastier the natural way.
I only add that when my boy started to reject his tasteless porridge when he was arnd 20mths.. My grandma told me that children should not take that too frequently as it will cause flam...
