2 Rep Power: 10 Reputation: 11 | Haenim Play Yard Intend to buy 2 sets of Haenim Play Yard for my 11 months old boy. Not sure if this product is going to be one of the many 'white elephants' in my house. My boy refused to sit in his pram when we go out. Refused to sit in his car seat when we travel. Refused to sit in his brand new mothercare high chair for his meals. Refused to sit in his walker. Refused to sit inside his playpen. When he was younger, he will sit in his walker and playpen for short periods provided there is someone ard playing with him. Now, he does not even wants to get inside. If there isnt more than one person at home, it is almost impossible to go to the toilet. He is able to crawl around the house but he is still not able to walk. The only relief is he is willing to sit in his rocker chair for his meals. But I cant leave him unattended in the rocker chair. Cos there is once he overturned TOGETHER with the rocker chair. His body is still strapped to the chair and both of them overturned together. Looking after my boy is so tiring. Cant leave him unattended even for a min. Even when he naps in the day, one person has to be beside him. So the moment he moves, we will rock him gently as he sleeps in sarong. Cos if we wait till he cries then attend to him, he will not continue to nap. Play Yard is my last resort to make my MIL and my life easier. Any comments on this product? |

Haha...think my clever boy will sonner or later figure out how to open the door... thanks for your offer Just to check, is the play yard sturdy? Does it bond tightly to the floor? Cos my boy is like hercules, I am afraid he will push the play yard over...then that will be a whole new set of problem ;p |

Rep Power: 2 Reputation: 10 | Re: Haenim Play Yard have you ever thought of getting a exersaucer ? It is good training for his back and also learning to stand. It is also portable, so if you have to go relieve yourselve, you can put him inside there and just drag the saucer to the toilet. Best part is he won't topple over. that's what I thought my MIL to do but of course this is only for a short time until he knows how to walk, then different story already. |

My boy refused to go inside the walker. I think the same will apply to exersaucer. When we try to put him into walker, he will curl up his legs and stiffen his body and cry loudly. When he was younger, we can still coax him to sit inside the walker for a short period. Now he is older and smarter, the moment u carry him near the walker, he will put up a resistance. I think the same will apply to exersaucer. In short, he does not like to be confined. ![]() |

| Moderator | Re: Haenim Play Yard Play yard is the most useful thing I ever bought. I think I bought it when my son was abt 10-11mths. He is able to stand there and watch the entire elmo VCD for an hour. Or occupy himself with toys while I'm bz in the kitchen. When I bring him home from nanny's house in the evening, I'll put him in the play yard so that I can undress, prepare his milk, etc. I bought a 2nd hand 6-panel and it can fit a single size seahorse mattress. |
