Heat Rash or Eczema?

Hi Mummies..

just wondering how to see the difference between heat rash and eczema...my boy's cheek have some pimple like red dots, sometimes will go off then few days later e pimple come back again...face looks rough! On air con the pimple did not went off...his body has it too... sigh!!! anything cream to apply??

you may want to see the pediatrician for this case, my gal has similar issue and the pediatrician prescribed a lotion for me to apply and it goes off.

hw old is your baby? cos my dear son also have and pediatrician said dont have to apply anything just leave it as it's very normal for young babies.. his also goes off and come back , pediatrician said it very normal but nowaday slowly goes off alrdy

My son had redness w small white dots on his body, legs and hands when he was a week old. Check with doctor, she said it is heat rash. She advised me not to wrap my baby n wear loose clothing. Now my son is 2 weeks old, all the redness disappear but now it appears on his face. I think it will subside in few days time too...

my son now 4mths...since nb he got heat rash.(Mostly on face)
try applying "pearl cream" but the rash still comes back.
now body also have, got few red patches looks rough...

sometimes, the rash will subside then the next day come back again...=(

my boy aso have, its like red rough spots ar his cheek area and chin area aso..
after milk, use hankie to wipe below e mouth, then must use a wet cotton wool(i use those facial cotton wool from watson) and wipe his mouth area clean..
my frien taught me this and now my boy face is alot better..

my frien mention is due to milk residue not wiped clean after feed, then his hands will touch everywhere his face and red dots will appear.. is calles "ni chi" in dialect..

maybe you can try, for mine.. it works and i hav been doing that till now..

My boy also has this problem... He has it all over his body not just his face. Peads said that it is eczema and prescribed cream and lotion. Brand is Physiogel. Can easily get from Guardian or Watsons. The lotion and cream worked wonders on my baby. My baby is currently 8mths. He had this problem since he was born. Why it comes about is usually due to an allergy. My dear son is allergic to alot of things. If there is milk not wiped off after his feed, skin will become red. If diaper dont't change after too long, his genitals will also become red. The brand of body wash also place a part. My dear son allergic to J&J products. Now I've switched to SebaMed. When I was still breastfeeding and had nuts, his rash will also come up.

My girl has eczema on her face & body. quite obvious as it is rough flaky patches.

But she has this pimply dots on her nose and behind her ears. It's itching her like mad and she can't sleep well. Can Desowen Lotion be bought over the counter?
