I've bought a baby cot for my son, but I feel that the texture of the mattress is "not breatheable" if he lies on it for too long.
Other than changing the mattress, is there any kind of cover / or cushion we can buy to spread on top of the mattress before covering with the bedsheet?
Or, do you have any suggestions for me?
Thanks in advance!
uh, but if the bedsheet is not breathable then you spread anything underneath it also no point right? still will suffocate .
there are some mattresses that are breathable to prevent SIDS. will be more pricey, but worth the money as a long term investment and your child's safety.
or else, check on your child when he's nappin or sleeping. try not to encourage sleeping on tummy if he is sleeping by himself.
though can sleep better, but still dangerous.
my problem is this:
Actually, I am only expecting dear son arrival to this world this month.
I have 2 cots - one in mum's house and I bought a play pen for my own home (where i will be doing confinement for 1 month). After that, for most of the time, dear son will stay in my mum's house (with cot and latex mattress). Hence, I do not wish to invest in an expensive mattress for the playpen just for the confinement period.
