I always have this prob with the diaper. Any mummies has the same experience? Any other brands of diaper can "hold" poo poo properly?
i thought mamy poko has a poopoo pocket to prevent this from happening.
sometimes my huggies also give me this prob
Mayb your baby not suitable for Mammy Poko....we tried a lot of brands of diapers with my son, till we got drypers...so far so good
how about huggies? Seems quite good.
Mayb your diaper too big for baby.
Can try diff brands until suitable one.
there is 2 reasons,
either the diaper cutting dont suit your baby's butt or the diaper was not properly wrapped
dear son's urine also leak this morning when using mamypoko, but is cos of my hubby didnt wrap it properly i think. haha..
THanks all mummies for your replies
Sometimes even when poo poo isn't a lot also will leak esp from the inner thighs. If a lot poo poo will back flow until it stains baby's clothe, sighhh...
May be i didn't wrap properly, hmmm... how to wrap properly hah? if fasten too tight, baby's thigh esp the area near tummy will be red red coz my baby likes to kick hahaaa...
Perhaps you may want to try a bigger size for mamy poko if you want to stick to this brand.
I have tried huggies but cutting too small. Now, I am using nepia. Nepia leaks urine at times too but this is amongst the best that I have tried. Am trying out the free sample for goon too. Used it only once (overnight). It can hold a lot of urine without leaking!
hmmm, i've been using mamy poko for my dear daughter since birth, and has never had any prob with leakage.
My ger poops a lot and her poop is runny cos she's on breast milk, but mamy poko has never given me any prob.
to make sure that the fit is correct, i make sure that the gathers of the diaper are inside and touching her butt so as to prevent leakage from the side. If the gathers are on the outside, then the poop and pee can leak out.
Maybe you can try goon? Goon is quite pricy but it really can hold the pee and poop well. Can ask for a sample from them first.
I tired Goon before, but the cutting is even bigger, even urine also leak!
So far, I tried Mamy Poko and Pamper. Both worked fine for my child.
I think its only leak when they move too much.
chelle, then you prob have to try a few brands to get the correct cutting and fitting for your baby.
Anyone tried Pamper? is it good?
Thanks in advance
Noticed if the diaper already soaked up much of the urine and then the poo comes, then the leakage is more likely to occur. Of course also if it is wet poo and alot, then to leak too even with Drypers.
Can anyone please advise if it is ok to get PetPet & Mamy Poko Size S for newborn?
Am a MTB, and starting to stock up on baby supplies, but unsure about the cuttings of the various diapers. Hope that its not nec to get NB sizes..
it really depends on the weight of your baby.
I was using nb for my ger till she was about 1-2months. She was 2.5kg at birth.
You may want to just buy a 2 packs to see if the size is correct for your baby before stocking up.
If the diaper is too big, the pee and poop will leak like nobody's biz.
small might be a bit too big for your new born
usually you will be paying for the diaper and wet wipes when in hospital..unless you bring in your own when admitted to hospital
maybe you can buy a new born diapers when the diapers you brought home got used up? ((we only started buying diapers when we reach home))
maybe you can call drypers or fitti to ask them for free samples (about 1 to 2 pieces only)
thanks for the advice, ladies.. cos have been getting conflicting answers from friends.. hehes..
decided to get 1 pkt Goo.N NB diapers from a BP and others at Size S.. too ks to wait till discharge from hospital, cos scared will "karang kabok" also..
Btw, i find Goo cutting rather big. I was given Huggies NB by Thomson Medical Center that time.
