    Sleeping on stomach

My 5 mths old boy started to flip himself about 3 weeks ago. Since then he likes to sleep on his stomach. At night, i will wake up few times to take a look at him if his face facing down and can't breathe and this causing me sleeping with worries. He sleeps better in this position. Can anyone advise should i change his sleeping position???

    Re: Sleeping on stomach

Once a baby learns to roll, the risk of SIDs decreases greatly and there is no need to correct their sleeping position

Just make sure that his bedding is clear of any toys, pillows or other objects that may pose a risk.

A firm and hard mattress is very important. Make sure there the mattress cover is not loose. How I wish my baby would flip too! He's coming to 5 months and he can flip but he hates it. dont worry, I have lots of friends whose babies sleep on their tummies and they are fine.

Yes pls ensure the mattress is firm and hard. And no pillows, toys or blankets on the bed too.
