We were at Baby Avenue (balestier road) the weekend to check out the prams and cots.
Looking at PEG PEREGO stroller and QUINNY car seat.
wow, thanks for the tip man! i thought baby avenue is like wholesale so will be very cheap already.
at baby hypermart, you can ask for further discount ... they offered me a 20%+5% discount when i was looking at maclaren stroller previously...
Im aiming a Combi Ricco stroller.. I find it looks and functions like Aprica and is like a cheaper version
And sorry to sound superficial but Im really attracted by the reversible handles and the cool colors HAHA
Is COmbi any good?
The combi you're looking at, how to adjust to different positions? Cos I noticed that some combis use a string only to hold the diff positions at the back. The salesgirl told me that combis may not be very good for heavy bbs cos the string can't hold a lot of weight.
dont't know how true that is... but i chose the peg perego cos the back is locked into positions in the plastic back and i thought that was more stable.
the one i am aiming is the Peg-perego Pliko Switch. any mommies any experience on this model?
my wife is small built and this stroller seems the easiest to manage

Uddermummy, im aiming this Combi Ricco
not sure about the back support you mentioned because I havent had a chance to try it out in stores yet.
my girl is using combi ricco. i feel its good! its light weight (only bout 4.2kg) and also can be close and open single handed...
yes combi ricco uses only a string to hold the seat position but i feel its ok so far.. my girl is not light(not heavy also ). she is about 8.1kg at 8mths old...so far totally no accident. very stable. it can be totally recline also. good for baby's nap outside!
the handle can be adjusted to baby facing you or baby facing outside so its convenient in case baby fussy and wanna see mummy!
hi Annie what color is your Ricco?
I have shortlisted the following colors:
The first one is New Ricco but Im not sure how it differs from the Ricco.
How much did you pay for yours?
hi mine is the first one! lol. i think it comes in only 2 colours.. the one you showed n one deep green. i bought the one you showed..
diff ? hmm... the new one.. handle is made of a differnt material. as you can see.. i dont know what the material is called but its soft and its not good if you have sweaty hands cos it will be smelly lol. the old one handle is plastic .. then the new one the material for the legs, wheels also not same. i forgot what the SA told me but then i feel honestly its not significant in diff . only material of handle n the legs n wheels. the part where baby sits should be the same. i bought the new one cos i like the colour lol.'
i bought in taiwan.. that time promo somemore.. but still ex.. cost me bout 600sgd...
Annie, actually I like the 2nd one.. Chocolate brown one.. but then I think in hot weather esp in SG will be baking hot for the baby LOL
Wah SGD$600... I think you can get New Ricco for $500 here.
dont know why the older version ($559) is more exp than new version($500) though
oh in taiwan i think they are same price or the old one more ex also.. thats y i bought the new one lol. colour i like n price is same or cheaper n new so y not? hehe
Just saw your blog.. yr girl looks super cute and chubby! And the stroller also looks yummy (makes my heart itchy to get LOL)
annie, your girl is cute!!!
hmmm, so the combi one also not bad... you bought the haenim play yard? I'm thinking of getting one tooo
yea bought the play yard yesterday lol. i usually go in n play with my girl... cos she alone inside sometime will fuss lol.
thanks girls for the compliment! my hubby say my girl fat like sumo wrestler! lol. but i thought she looks just nice though hehe
my stroller dirty like what like that cos my girl keeps biting n licking everywhere...
My boy stroller is COmbi too, but is the Combi Miracle Turn model.
I choose it coz of the reversible handle, heard in news before that baby feel more assured when they can see person pushing the stroller.
I got mine at Taka Baby Fair for $499.
My hubby wanted Qunniy stroller at 1st but they are so big & bulky!
i wanted to buy urban walker actually but then considering the weight n also it cant be close with one hand so i bought ricco...was interested in miracle turn also but also cos of the above 2 reasons.. i choosed ricco...
oh yah for ricco, though the handle can be reversible, its not very smooth when pushing in the position when you face baby cos the 4 wheels, only 2 can be turn 360 degree. the other 2 cannot. so somehow difficult to walk straight with the stroller when you change the handle to the other side...so i seldom push that way unless baby fussing.
I finally bought a Combi stroller for my son - miracle turn (new model)...
and it is a dream to steer becos of the 4WD!! Both directions whether child is facing parent or forward facing also very easy... Im totally in love with it!
