anyone heard of the above?
my confinement lady said baby's skin will be smoother if we bathe her with 1/2 can stout but my mother in law is concerned about this as she had not heard of bathing baby with stout.
i think its crazy...
just massage your baby with baby lotion everytime after bath if you want smooth and supple skin.
my CL from KL.
really never heard of ...gosh!
OMG! pls dont!!! babies will have smooth skin for sure, esp when they are older... dont have to do anything...when if your baby accidentally drink the stout?
Huh? There's such a thing going on? Using stout to bath baby????
OMG... Think you should call the helplines - Wyeth, Abott, Dumex etc or your hospital parentcraft to find out if it's ok before doing that.
I seriously dont't think that bathing baby in stout is a good idea.... It's really a weird idea your CL has....
I've actually heard of it.
The elder generation actually do this for babies with heat rash and such. dont know if it really works but stout is high in Vit B and such so maybe it gets absorbed through the skin? Who knows... :P
Hmm I have never heard of such things too.....will the baby get drunk?
yeah i heard of it too. it makes baby skin smooth n good for rashes too.
there r mummies who actually do that n the results r good~
baby wont drink the stout cos you mix into water in his bathtub. you wont let baby drink the water in the bath tub right???
I was bathed in Stout when I was young. Had bad ezcema, now totally nothing.
I was also rubbed with Brandy on a daily basis as I did not have much hair.
My previous maid also told me to rub alcohol on my palms to prevent sweaty palms. Worked for me.
But for young children, I would advise to use with caution. Their skin is still so soft & supple, alcohol may spoil it. & alcohol may also be absorbed into their bloodstream through their skin.
My boy has very bad heat rash also. I use goat's milk lotion & body wash for him. Works well so far
Empty vessels make the most noise
afterall, mix with water it will be diluted.
from what i heard from those mummies who bathe the babies in stout. they use with 1 or 1/2 can n pour into the bathtub then bathe baby as usual, no need to rinse off.
since some mummies heard before... maybe can try is others dont work out for your baby skin...
anyway adult can do that or not? i got bad skin - eczema too...
or maybe we drink better....
HUH!?!? wah, tts bad.. did baber get drunk??
