This is a discussion on what brand termal flask & foodjug?? within the Newborn Baby and Infant Care (up to 12 months old) forum, part of the Growing Up & Parenting category; Originally Posted by reginakoh but if you go out and bring 2 meals. the porridge can tahan until 2 meals?? ...
im using the zojirushi one.. bought it cos of the design lol. but as far as i know, tiger's better. can keep food warmer n longer.. both indicates that the food can be kept warm for 6hrs maximum but the temp at which the food is being kept warm is different. iirc, tiger's is 61 degree and zojirushi is 58..
Just to share what Tiger's and Zojirushi's promoters at Taka told me when I was sourcing around for a 500ml and a 1.5l thermal flask last Sat at Taka.
Both Tiger and Zojirushi are Japan brands but not all products are manufactured from Japan.
For Tiger, thermal flasks are manufactured from China. I only managed to get one 4l Air Pot that is made from Japan.
For Zojirushi, thermal flasks are manufactured from Thailand. Another plus point is on their one push locking system which make closing the flask in a more hygenic way compare to the standard design last time (Tiger is still having the same old design)... So eventually, I bought both my 2 flasks from Zojirushi as I'm very particular in cleanliness..
Hopefully never get the wrong choice.. so far only tested on 90 degree water which water still remains warm (maybe around 50 degree) after 24hrs.
no you got to check the box when you buy cos differnet model has differnet properties.. some can keep food at a higher temp. not all are same. i bought a tiger warm water flask n it kept water warm for very long. very nice design as well. love it alot. the zojirushi bento set.. so far so good. the food is warm but not very warm.. just not cold i should say. but ive tried to put only hot water inside the bento flask n the water is still very very warm after many hours. i think porridge or rice gets colder much easier than water lol
