Hi, wonder if anyone has ever asked pediatrician or consulted knowlegeable persons regarding the level of noise acceptable for newborn?
I'm asking cos ever since the day my girl discharged from hospital and came home, we have had works done on the lift upgrading and the neighbourhood area downstairs(we live on 7 floor so can hear the drillig at ground floor very clearly)
The construction firm has no qualms about doing drilling every week sometimes on differnt day, and yet the project( which is already more than 2 months overdue) is still not done.
I'm concerned about drilliNg works that is done on the wall rout net to my living room. The new lift that stops at every floor is next to our unit. Each time they have drilling works it goes on for at least 2 hours continuously, sometimes even the whole day, on and off, from 8am onwards.
I huddle my girl in the room furthest away and close all doors n windows but sometimes it's not always possible to avoid totally.
Will Such recurrent and persistent e posies to noise affect baby's eardrums?
Stay at Home Mummy
When I was doing my confinement, my mum's place had construction work too. My boy was constantly exposed to loud drilling/banging noises. He was ok. Tested his hearing a few times to make sure. He can now sleep with all sorts of noises. Haha.
