When to stop burping your baby?

Hi mummies,

Any idea when to stop burping baby? My son is now 5 months old and we are still burping him even after night feed. I would like to know when or rather how to know it is the time to stop burping a baby?

That's parts n parcels of parenting. I used to 'complain' too, but think back, those are memories.. haha! as for the spitting milk part, if is small amount, is okay. they will outgrow the 'spitting milk' at 4-5mth old.. =)

now my girl 6 yo, I still burp her , esp when she sick or she drink alot of water, cos in case suddenly she played played burp, vomitted (happened before).

and my girl also enjoy me hugging her and burp her. So i think no "standard" standard one .

we stop when baby can sit up on her own.

stopped burping her from 5mths plus onwards. cos when baby gets older its harder for them to burp.
i just let her sit there and she will burp by her self

i stopped at arnd 3 mths iirc, cos she will auto burp by herself.
