This is a discussion on Where to buy smaller tin of infant milk powder? within the Newborn Baby and Infant Care (up to 12 months old) forum, part of the Growing Up & Parenting category; Hi mummies, THe milk powder that i normally see in fairprice is 900g, which is too much for my baby ...
THe milk powder that i normally see in fairprice is 900g, which is too much for my baby to consume within the 1 month expiry date and I'll need to throw it away, such a waste...
Now i'm using enfalac A+, what about other brands? any smaller tin? what about Nan or friso? where to buy them?
ehhh why is expiry date so short????
is it the norm???? I mean for enfalac to expire within one month???
Smaller tins normally are not for sale (450g packing) coz they are meant for samples
what you can do is to call either Friso or Nan hotline for a trial sample tin to try for your baby first (free of charge dee) then if suitable then you buy the 900g tin
Friso products normally has a two year shelf life. I m sure others also have.
actually all brands of milk powder will not give out samples for 0-6 months formula as breastfeeding is encouraged for first 6 months. I dont think enfalac comes in 400g but nanha1, nanpro1, similac1, mamil comes in smaller tin. I see them at pharmacy n some supermarkets. Do check them out. i think the one month expiry is formula is best consumed within a month after opening after contact with the environment cos we open n close them.
I know Similac has it in smaller tins.
I got smaller tin of Mamil Gold from Dumex website. It's a free sample and is limited to one per household.
I also requested for sample from my pediatrician for NAN HA 2. You might want to ask if your pediatrician is able to pass you samples which are available in small tins.
Ya... that's what i meant haha...
Just know i called friso, they say MOH encourage breastfeed so dont't give samples for small babies, sighhh...
my pediatrician's clinic got free sample. but only stage 2 and above.. last time the nurse wanna give me friso comfort sample cos pediatrician ask me to change. then we got a big shock when we saw the SAMPLE!!! cos we told is a few pack you know, those one pack use one time... but it turned out to be the 400g tin!!
that day i passed by ntuc
got package deals....i saw smaller tins
but not sure is Friso 1 or 2.....
esthergal yr baby just born izzit?
Anyone tried ordering a carton of Friso1?? Is it cheaper than buying from outside??
or esthergal babe~~ try finish that one tin by one month or least drag one week~~~
coz i ddink babies will get more hungry (bigger appetite) by the time they reach older....like past one month? that time i rem newborn baber only drank 2 oz per feed, but he is a monster!!! he drank every 1.5-2 hours until gonna jot down what time he ate~~~~
Doing 90% breastfeeding, FM for supplement only that's why can't finish that fast...
But horrr.. i feel that enfalac might not be suitable for my baby, coz he's like have to strain very hard to pass motion, face red red, kick kick and cry also, sometimes he strains and cranky for the whole day since morning, me really heart pain...
