Any mummy send your kids to MRC learning centre? I like to have some feedback thanks
I've sent and withdraw my child from MRC Learning Centre (Downtown East). Reason being it is disorganized, the teacher looking after the J1 and J2 (2007)speaks terrible English and she always shouts at them. I personally believe that good foundations starts young, so what if the curriculum is good. The teacher cannot deliver. The principal promises heaven and earth but deliver nothing as most of the time she is not there. How can you promise something and not be there to monitor? The admin staff dont't bother, she just sits there and when you ask her questions she says she does not have a clue. Ridiculous.
The other teachers are professional especially the English young teacher teaching the J3 and J4. She really loves the children. I pity her in that environment. I heard she teaches over 6 subjects, I hope they pay here well.
Heard that their enrichment problem not bad but dont't know how about their daily programe and also the place over there is a bit small.
Not sure if my feedbacks are still relevant but here's mine:
My daughter has attended many enrichment classes at MRC Downtown East(Chinese, Abacus, holiday programmes, etc) and I find MRC's teachers are dedicated and concerned about their students' development and well being. Those enrichment courses that my daughter took are all taught by their full time teachers who also teach the daily kindergarten program at Downtown East. My daughter had wonderful and rewarding learning experiences to share with me. Thus, I strongly believe that one person's bad experience does not have weight to evalute and conclude the image of a school. As for me, I strongly recommend MRC Downtown East to any parents because it is a good pre-school centre with some excellent programs and teachers.
When I went there to collect my daughter's swimming cert recently, I was also impressed with their new premise, definitely bigger and better equipped.
I suggest that you take a trip down and meet up with Ms Dawn (Principal) or Ms Lynda (Vice-Pricipal). I feel that's a better way to evaluate if the centre is suitable for your kid.
