I went to take a look just now.
My daughter was pretty comfortable there, helped herself to the toys etc while I was checking out the programmes there.
I only managed to find out about the Saturday enrichment though. The person in charge of the weekday playgroup wasn't around. Hmm... anyone has any idea?
hi triquetra, i went down on thurs and fri, met both their principal and teacher..
mon-fri is playgroup while sat is enrichment class..
what information do you need? maybe i can fill you up?
or you can try calling or going down again on monday..
they are only around from 830am-230pm..
I would like to know the name of the playgroup and which floor it located?
Hi ewcp, its called Tara @ JP, take the lift beside macdonalds to 6 floor, when you exit from the lift, you can see the center ..
Do they have outdoor play n waterplay regularly?
that i dont know, cause i never ask also..
but i doubt so, cause its only 2hr playgroup, not full day childcare..
does other playgroup outside offer waterplay and outdoor play?
Ok, my son attending playdays at sunset way since he's 7 months n now in the bigger group has got outdoor play once every 3 wks n water play once every term...
I'm looking at another location for him which is more convinient for me to do grocery n stuff after droppin him off
i saw from playdays website, their school seems quite good too!
but is 3hr programme..
their teacher student ratio very low!
but wont the JP one be quite far for you?
Yes what I'm loving is a low teacher ratio.. When my son started with accompanied it's 1 1/2 hr lesson n they have waterplay n outdoor too.. In fact at drop off they have outdoor play every lesson n sand play/waterplay every term...
I dont't mind the traveling as the parking there in the morning is not crowded n there's Ntuc n fast-food for me to settle myself while he goes for classes
Hi Huiyin, thank for the info
Hi candy! I saw the playdays website, like it too...
I'm a kiasu mommy! Thinking to send my 6mth baby there....Can you comment more about the school?
Do you think the place is suitable for baby?
My son used to b with j&g until the class size grew so big n I wasn't comfortable with it anymore. Then I let him join playdays which is nearer to where I'm staying and class size very much smaller..
you can try calling and bring your son down for a trial if you r keen.. My son enjoyed the baby class alot n would get so excited just seeing the teachers.. Haha! What I liked is the low turnover rate as I think babies need to c familiar faces to make them feel secure...
The place is spacious n child proof enough with did theme every term n diff activities every session..
But the downside is the price is on the higher side n not payable via CDa account..
How much is the school fee?? I'm also considering GUG and J&G too...
I can't remember exactly for the baby group if my memory didn't fay me for twice a wk lessons per term is $800 not inclusive of the registration n deposit...
Does tara offer classes for toddlers 13 month old?
Previously I sent dear son to mygym at marine parade but that's simply too far coz I stay Jurong. I'm looking for west side ones.
Candy mummy, playdays look good! For 13 month is it accompanied? 2 times a week is weekday or weekend?
I called Tara@JP, no classes for below 18 months.
Have also called playdays, and signed up for a trial class
There's a My Little Genius at Jurong East, any mummies try before?
Pls update here after the trial class I'm waiting for their baby class to form then can attend the trial class! I staying Jurong too:P
My little Genius is it formly named Little neuro?
Cos went there before for enquiry but dont find it worth going! The materials are self-made and space is small...
Have you heard of Bibinogs? It seems not bad too.
Went for trial class at Playdays yesterday, 9.30am to 11am. Started with free play for about 20 mins, basically the toddlers just play with the toys by themselves and get comfortable. Then, followed by circle time (intro and some songs). Next is some water colour play, followed by water play (change into swimwear and go to outdoor area where there is big inflatable tub). Next, snack time each toddler given one rice biscuit, some cubes of watermelon and dried fruit. Finally, song and dance to end off.
Dear son was happy during the free play, circle time was quite ok. He loves the water colour play and water play. Hardly ate any snack though coz not hungry I think. But by the song and dance he was tired and cranky already coz 10.30am is his usual nap time.
Overall, the school is airy, spacious and clean and teachers very friendly.
Still have not decided whether to join coz water play and outdoor play is only once a term each and 1.5hr could be too long for him at this point. The school is also not that convenient, no bus and a long distance to walk in from sunset way.
As for Tara @ Jurong Point, received a call from them to say that there's a preview class this Sat morning. When I saw the brochure, it's for 18 month above. But the in-charged says I can try my son. I'm just thinking whether it will be suitable or not. dont't want to join a class where it's too advance for dear son.
Megtan: maybe you would like to cum for trial class tomorrow n c whether your child likes it? No harm trying out ! I went for e 1st class of Tara today! Was very satisfied with it, previously my boy refuse to attend playgroup from dowell n aso little skool house, so had to withdraw him.. Was kinda surprised that he actually enjoy school today, guess e teachers were interactive enough n e environment is fun. I only accompanied him for half hour, and after that, dear son was fine with himself!
How old is your son? You actually signed up already or just went for trial?
Which day is your class and what time?
Does Tara PG has trial class everyday or do I need to back for d trial class? Currently, my boy is coming to 15mth.
megtan: my boy is 20mths now.. i have not sign up yet, cause i told them i cant be sure if my boy will adapt to this playgroup, so they told me to come and try out first..
they only have one class now which is from 9-11am from mon-fri.. maybe you can call them and tell them you would like to let your boy come and have a feel first before you decide whether to enrol anot..
by the way, are you staying near JP?
mummypooh: actually they dont have trial class , but you can call and inform that you would like to see how the class is like, so can bring your boy down to play play also..
