Where to get 6-in-1 jab other then the baby doctor?
My dear son take his jab at polyclinic .
ya polyclinic can take 6-1 jab
My gal had hers at the KK private children clinic.... environment pretty conducive.... got toys... not so crowded.... less waiting time... parents less stressful...
But the kid still cries like mad after the jab... so the SAME everywhere
The polyclinic I went dont't seems to have 6-in-1 jab? The list never state the price. They only put till 5-in-1. How much is the cost of 6-in-1 jab?
What is the different between 6-in-1 & 5-in-1. my son was given 5-in-1 from the pediatrician.
My boy has the 6 in 1 jab at Kinder's clinic. I have made enquries to a few clinic but they cost about the same. Polyclinic is the cheapest as the program is up to 18 mths and cost about 300+ while private clinic cost arun 150 per jab. I took up the Rotavirus too but postpone the Pneumoccocus.
pnuemoccocal vaccine after 2 yrs old, only need 1 dose. but of cos,if family history's got lung infection or pnuemonia related diseases, best to take since baby. 6 in 1 and 5 in 1 differ by Hep B. lesser injection. =)
Is 6-in-1 & 5-in-1 jab can use CDA account to pay for the jab in polyclinic right???
Got . My dear son take his 6 in 1 jab at polyclinic J.east just finish his Hexas jab for 5mth ..
Waiting for 15mth then take his jab again
Yes can use CDA account to make payment .
5 in 1 is 200+
6 in 1 is 300+
How come the price diff so great?! Poly & private pediatrician..! Eeks!
Hahaha of coz alot of diff , actually go polyclinic also ok .. Not really waited for very long
I brought my elder daughter for her 6-in-1 at Kandang Kerbau Hospital'S private children's clinic.
Will be bringing my younger daughter there for her jab too this coming April.
They have this package for their monthly jabs.
I compared with polyclinic and Kandang Kerbau Hospital private clinic,
the difference is the number of jabs our babies have to take and the price.
Polyclinic need to take 5 jabs in total for their monthly jabs total cost about $300 plus..
Kandang Kerbau Hospital's private children's clinic only 3 jabs and cost $450 without GST though.. (forget with GST how much it cost already)
How come I paid for $700+!? Duhz...
i saw this notice at Kandang Kerbau Hospital and Polyclinic....Research programme on vaccinations....
and baby gets all boosters free....
including the one for pneumonococal (correct spelling?)
anyone on that programme?
at which month .. baby need to take the jab? newborn?
Fact #1: 6-in-1 is actually taking 5-in-1 & HepB all in one go.Originally Posted by Oppsgal
Fact #2: if you do 5-in-1, it will be administered at 3rd month while HepB will be administered at 1st month.
Fact #3: if you do 6-in-1, it will be administered at 2nd month
Fact #4: HepB doesn't cause fever ... only 5-in-1 & 6-in-1 will
So, yes ... the baby get jabbed earlier in the 1st month instead of the 2nd.
But WHY should this be a concern?
I mean, within the first 2 weeks of birth, all babies in Singapore would still have already been subjected to BCG jab & some heel probes (think it was for jaundice? ... can't quite remember already).
On the contrary, by taking 6-in-1, you are subjecting the baby to a high fever earlier ... why subject your child to this risk & discomfort?
Refer to your baby's Health Booklet ...Originally Posted by Yuki Miaka
All the mandatory vaccinations are tabulated on the 2nd last page, including the timeline.
Other optional vaccinations for your consideration & deliberation include (in chronological sequence):
2) Pneumoccocal (up to 3 depending on when you start administering on baby @ $150 each)
3) Chickenpox (1 jab only)
4) HepA 9 (2 jabs in all)
5) Influenza (annual jabs)
For the record, I skipped the first & the last for my Seamus ... intend to do the same for my Siggi too.
Per jab? I dont remember paying such high prices ...Originally Posted by elaine82
