My baby is in infant care.
Downside about infant care is that he falls sick pretty often. Almost once a month. But upside about it is that he's very socialable and not afraid of strangers. He also gets to learn things like head, toes, nose... And he's pretty independent, like ok to play on his own, sleep on his own, holds his own bottle.
Nanny cannot use subsidy because not under charge of MCYS. Downside about nannies are it's hard to trust. I've heard of people finding out that the nanny bring their kids out or put their kid in front of the TV all day to watch drama serials with them. I've also heard of nannies putting soya sauce into their porridge because they feel that kids need tasty food. But of course, if you can find someone trustworthy, all these wouldn't happen. Plus, your kid would fall sick less due to less contact with other people.
The price of both, infant care after subsidy and nanny, are roughly the same, between $600-$700. So now it just rounds down to what you are comfortable with.
