Then no choice, must use aircon - to save $, get baby to sleep in same room as dad & mum. Use thicker curtains to keep out sun and heat. Make sure no cool air escapes under the door.
Also getting aircon serviced more regularly will ensure that it works at optimum and saves $. IMO the older aircons are actually less efficient that the current energy saving ones. Getting the new ones may save $ in the long run.
Yupz, thanks! I did thought of not osilating the fan, but afraid dear daughter can't take it. So ya. Will try again if possible.. Heh.
We also find ti hard to sleep without the aircon but we have tried doing the following and it seems to help -
1. Turn on aircon & fan in room 1-2 hours before sleeping. Keep door closed to retain cooler temperature;
2. When sleeping set the air-con on a 1 hour timer (it turns off after an hour by which time you should be asleep);
3. Use a thinner blanket or duvet so you dont;t feel as hot under it;
4. Have a shower before going to bed, applying powder. Skin will feel less sticky and it is easier to fall asleep. If you want to use cream, ensure that it is fully absorbed into the skin. In my experience, even when the cream is fully absorbed into my skin, I feel warmer when I use cream. POwder works better (try using powder withou talc - better for baby).
Hope this helps.
we did that too then cont on the fan, room is cooling n nice to sleep in.
we have long since keep our duvet in our cupboard...
