My 3+ month gal sleeps sideways and always bury her nose in the pillow (sometimes completely bury) while sleeping.. This is the only position that she can sleep well.. I'm worried about her suffocating and cannot sleep well especially at nite coz will keep checking to see if she can breathe.. What shld I do?
Firstly remove the pillow and other stuff from her cot.
It's very dangerous as all these stuff are hazards that may suffocate her as she does not the have the strength/do not know how to push it away yet.
It's ok if she put her nose at the matteress if she can breathe she will be fine if not she will cry.Do you have a baby monitor? In case she cries you can immediately go over to check on her.
If not try to change her sleeping posture.Put her on her back everytime she sleeps and mayb she will get used to sleeping that way
This is dangerous, so follow your instinct.
Remove all pillows, soft toys, soft beddings from baby's bed. Use these only when she is very strong and mobile. Our nurse told us to wait until 1 year old.
Does her mattress have ventilation "holes" that keep baby safe?
If she loves burying her face, then consider using a pacifier. It creates a barrier between the beddings and her face, reducing risk of suffocation.
Can also try letting her sleep in a sleeping sack. This gives a sense of security while not as tight as a swaddle.
My boys also likes to do this.... I let him hug his beansprout pillow and he bury his face inside/ or on his pillow.... I would let him sleep, while i am beside him, after he sleep soundly, i turn him around, and he would sleep open his arm and leg big big haha...
BTW he has pacifier
remove the pillow n get a baby safe mattress.
if not, change her sleeping position. issue solved.
its jst this way or that.
