I dont't have a problem bathing my daughter.. But recently, she'll cry when she bathes? We always bathe her with warm water, on her baby bathtub. Thinking she might have outgrown it, we tried bathing her using the shower head? But she still wail.. We make sure water doesn't enter her ears and face, but she struggles. What should i do? Thanks alot mummies..
we started to shower dear son when he turned 8mth old.at 1st we let him stand n hold onto something but realise it doesnt wk well as he tend to sit down after awhile. so we let him sit in his bath tub and shower him.
i think you can tart using shower method instead of bathing alrdy =)
(when he was 1 yr old.)
I train my boy to shower while standing only during the evening time after his porridge. it was not easy as need to intro the shower head to him, he was afraid at first. so i train it on alternate day .. slowly he is use to it liaos.. now no problem.
he can even shower when we are at my sis's place or grandma house.
need to slowly and take time.
my baby since 6 months old i have been bathing her in the bathroom..put non slip mat on floor n let her sit while i soap her.I use the showerhead..so much easier than her bath tub n she doesnt seem to mind.No toys no distractions..i wld sing my īts raining "song n spray on her..hahhah..she wld open her mouth wide to catch some water too..
if your kid hates bathing then make it as short n quick as possible
kids go through many phases..for all you know the next time she dont wanna leave the bathroom!!

i thinks if your baby dont like bathing .. distraction with toys should be good. ALEX have very interesting n good range of bath toys... you can try bubbles too.
Yup I agree, make bathing fun.....at first it was a toy with my son, then slowly I intro the bubbles from the soap or shower foam...then he like it, though now sometimes he will fuss a bit during shower time....but overall improve a lot, so it will take time for them to get used to the idea of shower
I manage to bathe her this evening.. Phew! Just hope she remains this way..

dont't shower directly from the head, most babies dont't like water flow down from head, use a container, wet her body, soap her,let her enjoy bath-time first then slowly wet hair without water flowing down the face, later use container pour water over her head by asking her to lower head or llift up head ,slowly let water flow down.At lest she won't get probe bathing. It works well with my babies.
we actually started showering our boy because we were travelling and there was no bathtub in the hotel we were staying at and the sink was too small. ian was ok with it after some time to adjust to water streaming down his big mob of hair to his face. since then, we have showered him each time we are overseas and from time to time at home. but we still use the bathtub most of the time because he enjoys sitting down to play with his rubber duckie and turtle and also splashing a lot of water with his hands.
but after reading the posts above, it think it's high time, since ian is turning one year old at the end of this month, to graduate him to the shower (more often). =)

I started to use the shower head on my girl when she was around 11 months old. Up till now she does not like water coming down from her head, even when we do it slowly. But she is still okay with bath time. Recently my hubby forgo the bathtub and made her stand at the shower to bath and she was okay with it. She's able to walk now so she has no problems standing through the whole shower.
I've also considered purchasing a shampoo cap to help reduce the trickling of water down her face, but have not gone to do so.

Iggy started standing on his own and shower when he was 8mths+. I just used the shower head since the very start. I will give him a pail and a scoop to play with during shower unless I'm rushing for time. LOL. So far, no issues with water flowing down to his face.. Just treat it as "swimming" for him.
