There are quite a few centers in your area and LV at changi business park.
You can check this link for more centers. https://www.childcarelink.gov.sg/ccl.../ChdCccLst.jsp
That all depends on which centre you put your child in.That's why its important to choose a good IFC that the people there will look after your kid well.
But of cos, there are alway times in every center where the teacher will not be able to care for your kid as the ratio is 1:5(according to MCYS) some centers 1:3 so its hard for the teachers to care for every single one.
Its the number of times and frequency it happens that matters.
Find one with low teacher to child ratio so that your kid will be better looked after.
Of cos nanny 1:1 but sometimes the nanny would not bother about the kid/doing housework,.
Hey infant look after by bbs nothing to do with home-workOnly when your child goes to pps ok.Putting infant in IFC centre have pro n cons.Recently 0ne newly opened IFC at my place ,less than 7mths have 3 times HMFD outbreak. My friends kids n baby got the virus, very stress cause must take care of both.If you get a good nanny this case won't happen conpare to ccc, rightNanny ratio is 1:1 or 1:2.IFC ratio is 1:4 to 6.
I think if you are looking for nanny you should get 1:1 unless you want your kid to interact with someone. If not defeats the purpose and if 1:2 better if the other kid is older.
If IFC ratio exceed 1:5 smth's wrong.Cos it's impossible for teachers to handle and also it exceeds the MCYS requirements
My son was in infant care since 3.5 mths.
It is not true that the teachers heck care the babies but I do agree that the attention is divided. But I'm ok with it because my son is taught that fussing will not always get what he wants.
The lower the ratio of teachers to infants, the more attention your child will get at the infant care, but the higher the price you pay for that too.
The other disadvantage of infant care is that disease spread very quickly. My son was frequently sick. But that also sorta built up his immune system. Now, he is in PG and he is seldom sick.
I suggest that you go down to visit the center and talk to the teachers or principal before enrolling your child. Go down to see if you feel comfortable with the environment.
