I believe that sleep is very important for growing children.
My boy was a fussy light sleeper, and it took us many months to figure out ways to help him sleep better.
Finally from 18 months, he sleeps through 11-12 hours at night, with 1.5-2.5 hours nap in afternoon.
Lack of sleep can hinder development, reduce immunity and lead to bad temper.
Hubby and I decided to place sleep on higher priority, so we ended up co-sleeping (mattresses side by side). He refused to sleep in cot after 4 months old. We'd wait till son is bigger before moving him to own bed.
- sleep routine
- regular and early bedtime
- conducive sleep environment
