Recently my son would take around 1 to 2 hours to fall into deep sleep. He would fall sleep around 10 pm then kept waking up crying until 12-1 am then can asleep peacefully. he will close his eyes and cry, i'd feed milk then he fell aslp. awhile later cry again and i'd fed the same milk. he basically didnt drink but just wannna suck. he refused pacifier n water when i tried feeding him. around midnite there will be one big cry, this time shouting with tears but eyes still close. only when i carry him then he'd stop crying. i guess is nightmare. continue with crying abit and he'd mumble in his sleep til around 1am. any ways to solve it?
omg we're on the same boat then.. haha
anyway i read your thread, my son used to be carried alot. there's a period of time i'd wait until he's in deep sleep while i carried him on my arms. but now since your son likes to b carried upright mayb he just dont want to sleep yet?
some babies r like that. my son is one of them. everyday show alot of pattern. even got scolded from my hubby also. i think my son is a crybaby. a bit also cry and cry.. i wonder y other babies r not like that. haha
my hubby says he takes after me cos my tears can roll easily. i got nothin to say...zzz
normally these "nightmares" r caused when kids r over stimulated in the day.
got once pin played alot cos went to my cousin's bday party, then when she sleeping halfway, think she had a "nightmare" or something, she woke up n ask me if i can hug her to sleep!
hmmm..can put your baby on its side when they sleep..tuck bolster between legs n but those small beanie pillow on tummy.before my baby slept on her back but then she kept getting up suddenly..fussy all..on her side she feels more snuggled n sleeps longer..only gets up for milk feeds.
I agree with jasobias....you might want to let her sleep at the side....and put bolster and pillow so tht she feels snuggled.....
my son when he was younger also tend to wake up easily, the infant care normally put him to sleep on his tummy & he sleeps better tht way
mayb your baby is scared or just feel insecure?
