I notice my daughter keep biting her hands till there is bite marks and she keep pulling her hair, won't it hurt? How do i stop it? Thanks mummies..
They are exploring with their hands and learning to grab (anything).
I did not give my boy pacifier. Instead, I have him a teething doll. He could play with the doll instead of pull his hair
You have to be firm and say 'no' in a low tone with a stern look.
i say no she stil pull..
btw i need some advise...
During night time when andrea want to sleep it seems like she cant fall aslp n i dont know how to help her.. she will rub her eyes very hard, pull her hair, roll here n there. i've already dim the night or even off the light keep sound to min or even no sound n i even try patting but all useless.
but she still cant sleep. after about 30mins to 1hr she will stay being cranky cos she very tired already. what shld i do??
only recently then all this started.
Fioncess, my boy likes hugs & back rubs. Sometimes they are overstimulated, they can get cranky. I will rub his back and sing to him. Usually within 2 minutes of rubbing, he'll fall into deep sleep already. You gotta trial and error to find out which method suits your baby
Thanks stonston, i'll give it a try. I just dont't want her to get hurt.. During meals time, she'll get very impatient, we have to ''blow'' the porridge so that it won't be that hot before feeding her, she'll start to kick around while sitting in her high chair. When we tell her to be patient, she'll continue doing it before wailing.. She is 13 months old.. We are trying to teach her to be patient by not giving in to her.
Could it be tht she is exploring? cos' when my son exploring the surrounding at night, he cannot get to sleep too even though he is tired, he will still want to see or look around, touch here, touch there, talking a lot
Or could it also be tht she sleep a late nap? If she is then mayb you can let her nap earlier like mayb 1 to 3pm? instead of evening nap around 4 to 7?
i think maybe she is over stimulated tts why gets cranky.
n also this age, kids start to become more observant n curious of their surroundings.
try to put her to bed 1/2-1 hr earlier than her bedtime, n no vigorous activities 1-2 hours before bedtime.
for pin, i always gv her a btl of milk, then off the lights, lie next to her n pat her to sleep. sometimes i will hum a lullaby as i pat her. then she willl fall aslp easily.
