My boy's also 2+ years old. I registered a small company last year, to do freelance writing and marketing consulting. It's more for keeping myself mentally active and for interest than for income. So I only work during my boy's 1+hour nap and 2 hours when he sleeps at night. About 3-4 hours work a day.
When my boy is awake, I give him my full attention as I'm his sole caregiver. Usually, I play with him, do homeschooling activities or prepare his learning materials. If I try to work on the computer, he'd definitely try to bug me constantly, which is normal of toddlers. So now, I only work when he sleeps. (We live with extended family with a helper, so at least I'm free from doing cleaning and cooking. Just focus on son & work.)
I have a friend who also works from home, handling own clients. She lets her helper tend to the baby and do housework when she works. She also finds them to teach her son.
Hope you can find a balance soon. All the best!
