I've send my child to the infant care at moriah CC;
The place is kept clean n well-ventilated
so far my child have not't fall sick in since joining the CC-touch wood ! n i believe is because of their stringent hygiene practice n non-aircon environment. They do have a specified air-con area for the babies to nap. Thumbs-up for their hygiene practice!
In comparison, my older child whom i have send him to another infant care centre (totally air-con) environment, have been falling sick more frequently, in fact he have got HFMD twice from this other infant care centre(HDB void deck environment).
The infant care teacher in moriah quite nice n I find that they r pretty good n experience with handling babies n they have geniune loved for babies, however, I feel that their teacher-infant ratio is rather high, at best it is 1:3, sometimes they can be short handed, manning 10 babies with only 2-3 teachers...then assistant teacher from other older children groups will come over to help out... this is not so good. Infant needed alot of attention.
another downside is they have minimum toys for the babies to play with; I once ask the teacher y is this so n they told me they keep most of the toys away n only take 1 toy or 2 at any one time out to play n wash immediately after that so that to minimise the chances of the babies catching germs when they put the toy into their mouth or drop on the floor. They rather interact n personally play with the baby than to have many faciful toys all over the place which in their opinion is not so safe.
Im thinking if the babies esp. those crawler/ walkers stage babies who r ever so keen to explore get bored with so little stimulating toys?
However, I have seen other babies graduating from the infant care group in moriah who is rather advance in self-help skill eg self feeding n changing clothes, hence i believe they do have a way in training babies
