Hi to all strong mummies,
I just want to find out what are all your views on no entitlement on Baby Bonus, Child Care Leaves & Child sick leaves.
Of course, i would really hope the government would give us some benefits.
nsync_su, i think she meant the single mummies.
well, of cos many of us will think that the gov shld provide us with equal amt of benefits given to normal working parents.
for baby bonus, if they dont entitle us, i still can understand, but for CL, i think they shld.
Yes nsync su, i meant single mums.
child care leave & child mc are important to us.
Just a short intro of myself: I do have a husband, just that we did not register marriage in Spore & baby's birth cert does not have daddy's name in it. Reason: Husband's (foreigner) work confidentiality.
I look after my child 90%. Daddy is staying in company's hostel.
hmmm, pardon to ask, why cant get married??
for me, im a single mum, not married BC included my ex name (regretted badly!!)
hmmmm, i thought as long as one parent is SG then its eligible.
can check the website to see the eligibility.
i think it is unfair too... cos our child also the same as other children.
single parent son also need to serve NS for the country. We single mother also need to bear the same expenses or even more than a normal family. We also need to spend time and effort to take care of the child. We too need to work hard and be a role model to our child. It's not like we love being a single parent! Which mother doesnt want the best for our own child?
It's like we are the outcast of the society. no wonder abortion rate, divorce rate and abandoning babies in singapore is increasing!
Due to my hubby's job confidentiality, he's not allowed to marry a Singaporean. Therfore, i can't register his particulars. If find out, he'll be send back to his country. We just have to sacrifice for our love. I'm always in a dilemma (when applying job) Married or Single. Coz no Marriage Cert. And i'm not eligible for child care leave. Feel so outcast.
single mums r eligible for 2 days if im not wrong.
like this no choice, need to take unpaid leave, like me.
Hope the link provide some useful info:
My personal experience: My baby is 8 month and company has not notified me of my eligiblility of any childcare leave... And I'm a single unmarried mother too
Good thing we have 14 days medical leave and 2 month of hospital leave... that's how I play around my leaves... last resort is to apply for unpaid leave like Ting
Now... I'm testing out whether i will enjoy the Infantcare subsidy or future childcare subsidy or not... $600 per month infantcare / $ 300 per month childcare. And for income tax filing.. can try for Child Relief if eligible...
