Hi there! Dont worry~ my kiddo wasnt potty train too even when he was 24mths old..
He is on fullday childcare n the teachers do bring them to the toilet for them to get use to being in the toilet. They will try to get the children to pee but if they cant they wont force also. the kids will still be on diapers. We were taught to not 'force' the kids. They will b when they r ready.
My boy was down with chickenpox late dec, during the xmas period. He was kept at hm for two weeks. The first few days, cos the itch was really bad, he refuse to wear his diapers. Kept having to remind him whether he wants to pee n if he wants have to tell mummy. I remind him like every fifteen mins!! He missed once on day1, clear for day2, miss again on day3. By day4 he was all ready. He was alrdy 30mths old..
Now, 32 mths old. So far i only let him go wout his diapers at hm when he's awake. If we r going out or if he's going for his nap or at night he'll still b on diapers. Never missed so far. But only for pee. For poopoo, he will tell us he needs to poo but insist to poo in the diapers. Like he'll b playing n suddenly run to me say want poo n insist i quickly put on his diapers for him. Tried putting him on toilet bowl but he whine n hold the poo n diedie want diapers..
Im not worry cos i feel that he knws his need to poo n pee. He will b ready when he is.
Does yr boy know his poo n pee? Like is he able to tell you he pooed after he's done? If he can then no need to worry too much..
If ure a stay hm mum, mayb can try let him wear nappies. So that once he pee it gets wet he has no choice but to inform you. Slowly from there train~
