My baby gal refuse to drink since Saturday (11/2/2012), went to the doctor and doctor say there is nothing wrong with my girl.
I have made the following changes before
1. Change Formula
2. Change bottle and bottle teat
3. let her drink every 3 hours at 100ml ( she refuse to open her mouth)
4. Clean her tongue
5. Apply ru yi on her tummy before and after feed
6. give her gripe and ridwind
But none of the above works
Previously she is drinking 150ml every 4-5 hours, now is is drinking 90-100 every 5 hours.
dont know if any mummy here got any suggestion?
you can give apple juice to your baby, try to feed her in different position
Apple juice? off shelf or blend our own?
I give my son cereal when he was 3.5Month like that.. But i give him plain want to try out..
*If you plan to give apple juice, i suggest blend your self.. < Apple puree >
Pear or apple homemade purée recipe:
Use 1 – 2 apples or pears.
Steam or cook these in hot water until soft.
Mash down to create a fruit purée
Do not add sugar to taste.
** You can try steam Pumpkin as well.. Same way as above mention!!!
okok I will start cereal when she is around 3.5 mths
I remain the teat to 2 flow and feed her only when she crieds. dont't force her to drink if she dont't wants. I guess sometime baby do get ups and downs and have to go with their flow. Now my girl cuming to 4 months and I just go with the flow.
dont't worry so long that she gains weight. About feeding cereal, its best to consult your pediatrician before proceeding.
All the best and go with the flow.
It is recommended to feed baby solid food when they are 6 months old. Their gut are still immature. Early inttoduction may post more problems instead. Baby needs all the nutrients from milk. Solid food reduces their demand for milk so it may not help in your situation. The issue here is not getting baby full and heavier but healthier. The cereal cannot replace milk. Agree with lost kitty to consult pediatrician before you start as 3.5 month seems too young. My 4 month old refuses milk n is cranky at times but it's a phase they'll grow out of. When baby r teething or learning new skills, they can be cranky n refuse milk.
