any1 knows how effective is chicken pox vaccine? will my son be totally immune to chicken pox for life or is the vaccine just meant to minimise risk of getting chicken pox?
yup my baObei is correct
just to add on, chicken pox vaccine is normally given at 18 months or one year old rite? If i dont remember wrongly baber was given at 18 months.
This vaccine is to reduce discomfort in case baby really gets it coz i think its more painful and more discomfort for babies below 2 years old to get chix pox.
yeah, baby wont be 100% immune, but at least lower chances, n if really kena, also mild case n not so uncomfy for the child.
for older ppl (like my mum) she say better to let the child kena, but my doc advised, if can avoid, best to, cos its very hard on small kids, n for adults, very troublesome need to take leave n this n that.
i kena before when i was young, thus know its very xinku n itchy.
so i went ahead n let pin take.
thanks mummies. ive decided to go ahead with the jab this fri.
