bf does cause jaundice to increase but doctors/pediatrician will advise to continue to breastfeed. Thus if you dont't bf it's fine. My girl also have jaundice & I had been advised that there is no scientific evidence that sunbathing cause jaundice to decrease. Prolonge exposure will cause sunburn on newborn's delicate skin. The breeze outside such as a walk in the park is fine as with any other baby. Usually jaundice will last about 2 weeks. More info available @ Jaundice. I'll advise that it's best to consult your pediatrician/doctor before feeding your newborn with alternative suggestions for jaundice as each newborn is different.
