A COMMITTEE which runs the 103-year-old Goh Loo club at Club Street has come under fire for selling a valuable painting belonging to the club without informing its members.

The painting, a 110cm by 60cm work titled Standing Horse (left), by the late renowned China artist Xu Beihong, was given to the club in 1938 to thank it for raising funds for the anti-Japanese war effort in China.
