Just wanna check have anyone have their wisdom tooth extract? My bottom wisdom tooth is killing me. Try to get some info for extracting it. Mine need for the surgery cos it grew sideways and still the gum.
Heard can use medisave?
Any clinic to recommend?
mine is supposed to cost around 1k for bottom two which can be paid for by medisave provided that i get a reference letter from polyclinic and then get an appointment at alexandra to get the surgery done. but, but, but, just to get an appointment at the polyclinic simply for a referral letter will take 3 months and that wait alone is enough to put me off.
had mine extracted...top 1 bottom 1...which involved minor surgery for e bottom tooth...cost around $600++...paid about 80% thru medisave...i find that dentist i went too was very 'gentle' n made e 'operation' quite a pleasant experience for me...hee
I going to have my top & bottom wisdom tooth extract next week monday. Hope it can get well fast enough. Cos Hari Raya coming, I wanna eat kuih, ketupat and lontong.
Argghhh, Arghhhh Argghhh....
ask a few dentists first, I paid mine using medisave.
op is straight-forward, the x-ray your mouth, needle in the gum, slice, pull
& sew & you're as good as new. word of caution.. after op try keeping your saliva in your mouth if you can... i know i couldn't
I was placed under general anaesthesia when I was 18 to remove 4 wisdom teeth.
Now that I think back, it was a rather drastic move to be placed under GA just to remove teeth!
I have all 4 of mine removed via GA. Didn't use medisave as my dental surgeon is located at Mount E. For bottom ones and in gum, normally they will have to cut the gum open and break that tooth into a few pieces before extracting them out. Do note that if you didn't opt for sedation or GA method, you will undergo method, which means 2 jabs for per tooth in order to numb the gum and also give you pain relief.
I highly recommend Mount Elizabeth Dental Surgery located at Mount E, #07-03. I didn't experience any swollen-ness and the healing process is great. I can even head back to work before my 1 week of MC ends.
Oh ok. I would not recommend the doctor who removed my widom teeth as she is not gentle at all! She is also not patient-centric. They way she talked, I felt as if she was threatening me. I think her name is Dr. Toh.
just wondering if during teens time alrdy extracted all 4 wisdom teeth so would it b possible that another 4 wisdom teeth will grow again during adult age?
there's an option not to be under GA if you wanna remove all 4 at one go...my cousin did not..she just asked for jabs and was conscious thru out e whole surgery..i guess it depends on your tolerability level ...??
my dentist gave me more then that for e bottom tooth as i still had feelings...
I just extracted 3 of my wisdom tooth on sat, put under GA.. Currently gums a bit sore, otherwise, i'm fine!
I have 4 wisdom tooth, alamak i must be very intelligent and wise to have 4, but it sux too coz need to extract all 4.
10 years ago, i had 2 (left bottom needs ops and top) removed. Done it at one of the clinic in Bedok, an old dentist but very experienced. One jab and my whole mouth went numb. Poof, 10-15 mins, got 2 extracted very fast and painless. Take a few days to heal.
After 10 years, which is TODAY LATER, I am going to extract another 2, 1 bottom needs ops, another one on top. I will be going to Rivervale Plaza, coz my hubby got his wisdom tooth extracted there before using his medisave.
Better get rid of the wisdom tooth, food always kena stuck inside T___T
I got all 4 removed, all at different times. Not because they pressed on my nerves. Its because they r all hard to brush and ended up having decay.
painful.... hated it.
paid a huge percentage through mediasave....
still gotta do root canal and crowning but too expensive... at least 2-3k... any good and cheap dentist to recommend?
