Eleven Singapore companies will head to Hollywood for the American Film Market (AFM) to help internationalise Singapore's media sector.
The delegation of 14 senior business representatives from the firms, including Mediacorp's Raintree Pictures and The Moving Visuals, will be led by the Media Development Authority and International Enterprise Singapore (IE Singapore).
They will attend the event from Nov 3 to 10. Rated as one of the top three film markets globally, the AFM is set to attract 8,000 participants from across the world.
The MDA will promote its location services at the Singapore booth, which acts as a one-stop information centre for local and international filmmakers who wish to film in Singapore.
The delegation, which comprises production and post-production houses, audio houses and animation studios, will also meet executives from Hollywood studios and leading international film companies.
Ms Cassandra Tay, Director of Communications and Community & International Relations at the MDA, said: 'Our participation at American Film Market is part of our internationalisation efforts to help Singapore media companies gain exposure in the US market.'
'We are happy to be working with IE Singapore to enhance our international marketing efforts and to strengthen the export of Singapore's media products and services.'
