POLICE in Delaware arrested a 14-year-old after he allegedly forced a seven-year-old inside a portable toilet and intentionally knocked it over, hurting and trapping the boy.

Officers responding yesterday at 7.45pm local time to a report of an assault spoke with the seven-year-old's father, who reported his son and two other youths were approached by the 14-year-old as they rode their bikes in Hann Park in Newark, Delaware.

The father told police that the teen threatened his son and forced him into a portable toilet in the park, myFOXphilly.com said.

The teen allegedly kicked the portable toilet over and walked away, leaving the seven-year-old screaming inside and covered in urine and faeces.

The boy’s two friends, ages seven and eight, were able to lift the bathroom up enough to help the boy escape. The victim suffered a minor knee injury.

The teen was arrested at his home, arraigned on charges of unlawful imprisonment, assault and harassment, and released to his parents on $US4000 unsecured bail, police said. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.
