Any pleasant and lousy experiences to share about banks in Singapore?
Talk about world class service.. sigh, just got a really lousy one with OCBC!!! There was a long thread on another forum sharing all sort of nonsense and lousy experiences from OCBC.. And I experienced it myself !!! The call centres staff and the brach staff are super lousy !!! Poor product knowledge and RUDE!!!!
The application form states latest salary slip for local yet the CP branch staff says "Huh, only one month ?" Istared at her and when she came back after photocopying our documents, I show her the form wordings to shut her mouth.. The the 2 CSO are horrible.. One gave wrong info, the other one insisited talking only to my husband when upon verifying all the necessities, my husband says "Pls speak to my Mrs" as that's our usual style with all other banks and have no trouble, yet this lousy CSO says "Mrs Koh, I do not wish to speck to you as you r not the principal holder.. bla bla bla.." Idiot !!
When I ask to speak to a manager, she refused too, saying off working hours .. I qn aren;t call centre 24 hours? The very next day, she did not inform her manager to call back.. I got to call to ask for the manager to complaint.. The manager is professional (manager , have degree and training thus qualitfy to sit that position) apologised so much ..
sigh to OCBC!!!
HSBC and UOB is good! Good rewards and attentive and responsive CSOs..

i only dont't like the practise of the bank that you cannot renew FD interest with the same bank if you dont't have fresh funds.
like POSB, UOB & Citibank...
err... so far no dislike...
Abit off topic.. But i work in UOB!! hehe.. Any1 bought car recently? i might have called you before... =)
Anyway, i onli have POSB so ya ...
i like citibank, uob and hsbc...
hate stanchart and ocbc!!
ocbc ppl really have non ethics, manners and customer privacy!!

My favourite bank is DBS and POSB because they are fast in their service and responsive. I dislike UOB the most because I find their staff are not very trained and not professional. And their call centre is forever busy..cannot get through always.
I was accompany my mom with my kids and a friend to OCBC (Compasspoint) asking stuff about her investment with them..
sigh sigh sigh!!! Lousy experiences again!!!
This young rude young lady serve my mom.. Checking on 2 investments! My mom nearly faint when this staff says one of if LAPSED!!! Wah!!! And me and my friend were trying to point the very impt word to her "SINGLE PREMIUM"!!! But she sort of moved the paper back to her.. When i insisted her to make sure, confirmed.. She picked up the phone then call n talked and said "Lapsed" 3 times!!!!
As all the seats are taken at that table, my friend was standing at the edge of the table. Guess what this staff say? "Miss, pls go and have a seat as nobody is allowed at the side of our table!!"
Then finally, she said "hmmm as the system got problem and the same policy no confused me so I got mixed up and thought it is lapsed.." No apology, all excuses!! Excuses, Rudeness, and.... my mom says her dressing is so horrible !! Ya those sitting in front of her can see "half of it revealed !!!" Aiyoyo!!!
Really cannot stand it .. I walked over to another staff nearby, asked her what's the name of that lousy staff and whether she's new.. The answer is "Sxxxxx is pretty new .." We asked for the duty manager.. She guided us to the table at the corner to take down our comments!! sigh!! How can such quality be at the front desk, worst at those table with chairs for the customers to sit and listen to their investment talk and something bad-mouthing their competitors (eg, other banks or insurance companies)!!
POOR Product Knowledge, Jumping into conclusions, super-rudeness, gimmicks...
OCBC is really very famous for the bad services!! To my family, it's 4 times (4 staff) in a short time !!
Like Citibank for their customer services.
Dont like OCBC too! Called their Platinum line but the service was lousy! The officer was not pleasant to talk to, took ages to get back to me, and sounded real rude! I also called back to remind them why they hvt get back to us? If this is the service I get for Platinum line, I dont know what to expect for normal hotline. End up cancelled the card. Buay tahan.
