I love using dried scallops to make my special chili! yum yum!
Or you can use to when frying vege.
I love it when my made blends it with 'hei bi' dried shrimps & fry until very fragrant. Can use with porridge or fry vege.
Btw, urs is the exp type or the normal type? if the scallop is larger than 5cent coin diameter, best to use it for porridge or soup.
Soup you can use put scallops, pork ribs, wolfberry & red date if you like it sweet. Very yummy!
You can soak the dried scallops for a while in hot water. Then boil with a pot of water to cook mee suan soup. You can add in mince pork, egg or fish in. I always cook for lunch or dinner. It goes well with rice and some dishes.
i dont know if my scallop is the expensive kind or not....but haha its surely bigger than a five cent coin...hey your recipe of blending dried scallop with dried shrimps is a great idea...can put in a bottle, keep in fridge and use for frying vege..think fried 'kang kong' would be yummy...reminds me of those XO sauce. Thanks.
yeah thanks for your suggestion..think my dried scallop can be added to make soups sweeter and tastier...in that way i can go easy on or dont even need to add salt or soy sauce..
lovedove, if bigger than 5cent coin is quite exp. those type normally we use to brew 'tonic' soup.
i love blending the scallops with dried shrimps. if you like spicy food, you can fry a small amount of garlic & belacan & chili & add it in to fry. yum!
