Hi, I have PCOS too. Went for a day surgery early this year as i had prolonged period. After that, I continued with hormones pills by a gynae but no help. Then, we found out that my husband's sperm mobility is low. Recently, I changed to Kandang Kerbau Hospital and went through a blood test. Am hoping that things will go on the right track. I am also going to see Dr Zou(traditional chinese medicine physician) later today. Pray for me.
Just want to share my experience - I'm pregnant with my first child now although diagnosed with PCOS. It CAN happen!
My periods have always been irregular since I started having them in Primary school. In adulthood sometimes it comes only 2-3 times a year. So when I consulted gynaes I've tried oral contraceptive pills, and other hormonal pills to help regulate the menses - but once I stop the medication my periods didn't come again, which meant I wasn't ovulating on my own.
Last year in preparation for my wedding I went to see a GP for help with weight loss - one of the symptoms of PCOS is difficulty in losing weight. I was always slightly overweight but despite exercising regularly I couldn't lose weight easily. So with some medication and a strict no-carbohydrates diet, I lost about 10kg in 6 months. And then the miraculous thing was - my period started coming on its own, about once every 2 months. I presume this meant that I started ovulating - because in about 6 mths after marriage, we conceived naturally.
After consulting a specialist in Mt E, as well as reading up on PCOS and the medical research that has been done on it, I believe that one of the ways of treating, or rather reversing the effects of PCOS, is weight management. So if your symptoms are similar to mine, you may want to give this method a try.
Hope this helps!
With determination I'm sure you can do it! Jia you too!
Hi hi I just conceived too with pcos.
i'm trying my best to cut down on bubble tea....arrggghhh..my dead spot for bubble tea....LOL~
i believe maybe its a matter of time before we can strike yaaaa....well we'r all still hanging on yaaa....
JIA YOU JIA YOU TO ALL WHO R TRYING~
I am suffering from PCOS. Went to see this gynecology Lisa Chin then to this traditional chinese medicine at Fortune Center referred by my sister In law. Still... NOTHING... damn upsetting and disappointing. Anyway nightgale, do you think you can share your diet menus with me?\
I think no harm asking at any doctor if it is just for weight loss, or if you are still seeing the gynae you can ask her about it - it's better that you consult a doctor's advice before starting on any diet because this may not be suitable for everyone depending on individual health conditions. Good luck!
ya...feel uncomfortable cos you've to open your legs wide wide for them to insert the tube in ya...then gynae is doing it...2 nurses helping her...so many pple staring at your private area---feel abit paisey n werid....
its not painful ya.......just feel uncomfortable ya.....but try to relax relax......
i feel that the jab which they inject onto your butt (to make you release the egg) is even much more painful than the process of IUI where they insert your hubby's sperms into your private area......
dont tink too much ya...just DO IT~
JIA YOU N GOOD LUCK~
All the best to all the couples out there trying for the magic touch, baby dust to all of you!!!!
mine menses worse than you.. can come visit once in 3 mths~ at lest urs is regular. you confirm you have PCOS? As for the mucus part.. the doc did advise me to buy some anti bacterial wash.. since you have not done any check up yet.. perhaps you can use some of such anti bacterial wash just in case your mucus contains bacterial that may kill sperms. i m using this brand - Esemtan skin care wash lotion. The other brands in the market is purely for wash but no anti bacterial use.. so perhaps you may give this a try? Good luck to you~
