Thanks for the reply..
I was recommended to consider Lapor when I found out thru my HSG report that my left tube is kinda blocked..my right is perfectly ok..so my gynae gave me clomid for 4 rounds (but I only took 2 rounds) and see if I could conceive..but apparently it does not helps coz we have really done our hw diligently and on both rounds, both my opk & blood test showed positve..
So would like to know if anyone come across this and could give some advice on what to do, the cost, any medisave claim, any recommended doc to do lapor and the procedure etc... so now I stopped taking clomid & see if I could ovulate.. sigh..I never thought when I'm ready to try for baby..it's seems difficult.. But nevertheless, I will not give up coz my hubby is supportive
So are you going to do lapor this coming Mar? which doc & how much?
I went for Lapor to remove cysts. My left tube was also blocked and my right perfectly ok. I was on chlomid after that for 2-3 rounds. Unable to conceive. My gynae switched me to another pill and I conceived. All in all I conceived 6 mths after my op.
In the meantime after my op, I had to go back to the gynae every month so that he can check whether I was ovulating and also look at my BBT chart. I was also using ovulating kits 5 mths after the op.
My doctor was Dr Peter Chew. He's a pretty experienced gynae but waiting at his clinic can be long even when you have an appt. The op cost me about $6k. I claimed from my company insurance about $3k. My hubby foot the bill so I can't remember how much he claimed from Medisave, but I remember it is not much. Prob only a few hundred bucks.
Lapor is a day surgery. I was admitted at 6am, op at 8am and I was discharged at 1pm. Was also on 2 weeks hospital leave to rest at home.
My boy is already 13.5 mths. I strike in 2008, 6 mths after my lapor in 2007.
I can't remember the name of the pill already. But previously I was on chlomid but I didn't conceive.
Yes my gynae's clinic is at GlenE.
I did the biopsy/laparoscopy in feb '09 coz of class 2 paps smear result. Done it with Dr PS Lui from orchard plaza/Mt A. I conceived in july '09.

mine was done for biopsy purpose coz there was suspicion of cancer, so it might differ from if its done for other investigation. after that i was adviced to give at least a month or 2 down time, coz it would also be dangerous to get pregnant after a cone biopsy is done (cervix may not heal fully yet).
