From despair to joy. One woman's struggle with infertility and her eventual triumph. It never fails to put a smile on my face whenever I hear of such victories.

    Re: My IVF Success Story

since my last post, this was what happened. I have seen a gynae, was on one cycle of medication to make me ovulate - took bloody test, was told the count is low, gotta go for IVF.

Seek second opinion with Dr SF Loh at TFC, was one another cycle of medication, this time is Metfomin and Clomid. Likewise, did not ovulate. At the same time, husband did the sperm analysis and the results were low. Dr SF Loh suggested IVF.

I am scheduled to see the famous traditional chinese medicine Dr Tan Siew Buoy in August. I have another review with Dr SF Loh, mainly is to see my husband's blood test results and his sperm analysis after taking medication.

So now it seems like IVF is the only option and i have several queries

    1) I was told by Dr Loh SF that if i were to go to Kandang Kerbau Hospital for IVF (where i can enjoy subsidy) i will be rejected because i am overweight. I need to lose weight and be in the normal weight. The problem is, it is difficult to lose weight with PCOS. If i go the IVF with him, i dont get subsidy =X

    2) Should i still proceed with my traditional chinese medicine treatment even if i am considering going for IVF?

    3) I have an appt with Dr Sadhana (Kandang Kerbau Hospital just assigned her to me), is she good? Or should i make appt with Dr Tan HH? I heard he is super busy and even with appointment i have to wait up to 4hours sometimes?

Anyone with PCOS, who is overweight, has successfully done IVF at Kandang Kerbau Hospital? I am feeling quite demoralised and lousy Husband really want kids and he was so affected when he found out that his sperm analysis report wasnt great as well.

    Re: My IVF Success Story

Hi Sharkles, from traditional chinese medicine point of view, excess weight is said to be a sign of some"imbalances in the body" due to factors such as unhealthy lifestyle, diet & ageing, which interrupt the "qi" (the "vital; energy" of the body) & lead to the build-up of toxins. Overweight patients tend to have sluggish metabolism due to their sedentary & lifestyles, lack of adequate sleep & poor diet- factors also known to cause weight gain according to western medicine. (Source: Today, 27 July)
I got a subsidy because my hubby & I are Singaporeans. I dare say the subsidy helped us greatly; otherwise you will have to pay a BIG bomb! My hubby is not a high income earner. Are you open to the option of using herbs & acupuncture to slim down before going for IVF? A healthy weight will ensure you of little or no complications during pregnancy.

Like I said earlier, it does not really matter who you get because I feel it is more of a mental battle with yourself. "Am i going to succeed?" "What if I dont't have any eggs retrieved???" "What if my egg failed to fertilized???" "What if my egg failed to implant???"" Blah blah blah. Another reason why it does not really matter which doctor you get is because it is a TEAM of specialists attending to you, not just one person. In fact, during my actual IVF treatment, I hardly saw my doctor. I only saw him once during my embryo retrieval before I was knocked out, if I remember correctly.

To prepare yourself mentally, you may like to try hypnosis programmes from a UK based cognitive hypnotherapist who specializes in fertility. I will write about him later.

Well summer arrived in the UK last week and promptly left again. It's very wet and grey outside as I write this!

So I decided I needed to create sunshine. Be a creator and not a victim. What bring sunshine to me is seeing sunshine in others. I've never done this before but I felt inspired to and I think inspired action is good! So my sunshine to you is 50% off my fertility hypnosis programmes and online mind-body programme for the rest of July, so until the end of the weekend. I hope it brings sunshine in to your life and who know's what else it may bring!

    Re: My IVF Success Story

    Hope & Our Fertility Journey

We use the word hope a lot, I hear it a lot when speaking to women and couples on this journey.

    But what is hope?

Is it a good thing? Surely having hope is a good thing.

Hope helps you stay positive, doesn't it?

Hope keeps away despair and fear, doesn't it?

Hope is thinking, thinking about the future.

And nothing can predict the future, not even our thinking.

I would say hope can often be fuelled by fear.

Fearful thinking that something won't (or will) happen.

Hope can go beyond wanting towards longing, needing – which can be fuelled by fear and perhaps even desperation.

Hope and fear – two sides of the same coin?

Just like you can't have anger without love – you can't be angry with someone you dont't care about. The opposite of love is not anger, it's in-difference.

The opposite of fear is not hope or belief, it's acceptance.

Acceptance doesn't mean giving up. You know you can continue your journey without fear or desperation because when we're in the here and now we recognise we have everything we need. We come into the world without needing anything to have a sense of being OK, we have innate well-being.

Hope is future thinking. Any thinking that is not in the present moment is fantasy. The future does not exist except in our thinking.

I can remember all too well wishing and hoping things were different on our journey. Longing for things to be different. Until I found peace and acceptance. A place of peace without giving up (it does exist, trust me!)

I could then continue our journey, still wanting to have a baby but without the fear of it not happening. Because you dont't need hope when in the here and now. You tune into your innate well-being.

You dont't need hope because everything is OK, you have everything you need in the here and now.

When was the last time you looked at a baby and thought they weren't complete? Thought they needed something. We come into the world in tune to our sense of innate well-being. As we grow up, particularly during childhood, we get more tuned into our thinking that tells us our well-being; sense of being OK, is dependent on external things.

For example 'I'm OK if people think well of me' or whatever it may be. However, our thinking is not truth. When we let go of these stories, our thinking tells us we return to our default setting of peace of mind, acceptance of the present moment, knowing that we are absolutely OK in this present moment.

When you see they are just that, stories, we automatically come back to our innate wellbeing, without us doing anything because it is within us, it's who we are. You can then continue your journey with peace of mind without the need for hope.

What stories are you telling yourself?

    Re: My IVF Success Story

I just watched the "Dreams Come True" video (https://youtu.be/Ea-6DwCEIW8) again & it never fails to bring tears to my eyes as I recall how very fortunate I am to be able to conceive my daughter successfully with my first round of IVF.

I like to share something that I saw last year at Clinic D. On a christmas tree hung a very poignant message written by one couple seeking to become parents for the first time. It went something like this "It does not matter whether our baby is a boy or girl, as long as he/she is healthy & strong, we will be very happy". I was tearing as I read it because it echoes my sentiment not too long ago when I was struggling with that "I" word. Yes, you got it. Infertility!

For infertile couples, very often what we are thinking of is completely different from fertile couples. A fertile couple goes something like this "We hope that our first baby will be a gal so that she can help us to take care of our second borne" Or "We hope that we will have a boy because our first one was a gal".
An infertile couple will go something like this "It does not matter whether our baby is a boy or girl, as long as he/she is healthy & strong, we will be very happy".

If you are reading this post, chances are, you belong to the latter, just like me. And probably you are thinking "these fertile people are so fortunate! What a luxury it is to be thinking about having a second baby!" Yes yes yes, I am nodding in agreement. And one of the worse thing you can face is to have someone in a forum tell you "My hubby runs marathons & ultra-marathons you know. So I am sure you know his sperm is exceptionally good, & that is how we conceived in less than a year". What a thing to say to an infertile couple! Grrr.... How insensitive some women can be! Tsk!

I have a testimonial from a UK woman who faced secondary infertility & who conceived naturally after turning to cognitive hypnotherapy. In her words, Hypnotherapy gave me a baby". She was a chocoholic & an obsessive worrier & thinker, and according to traditional chinese medicine principles, thinking too much is no good as you are using up vital energy. Re: My IVF Success Story

Your fertility & diet are so closely interlinked; good nutrition means good quality eggs. If you can, do try to cook during weekends & public holidays rather than eat outside food. Again. I was told food like yong tau foo, which many people think is healthy, is actually not so healthy as it contains MSG. So if you were to multiply 6 pieces of that with MSG AND drink the sometimes MSG-laden soup, that's quite an amount of MSG you are consuming! Yes, I know the soup is made from soy beans but there are unscrupulous vendors who add MSG to make the soup taste 'sweeter'.

    Re: My IVF Success Story

Russell Davis, a Fertility Cognitive Hypnotherapist, Writer and Speaker, will be holding a FREE webinar Thurs 8 Sep at UK time 8pm. You can get the recording if you sign up. I know 8pm UK time is SG time 3am!!! You can always listen to the recording at your own convenience. :-) And the title is "Give birth to a life you love now!"

Here is the latest e-mail from him.

Hi, I hope you are well, welcome to this weeks newsletter and welcome to any new subscribers.

I have decided to do a monthly webinar so I can support and engage with you in a more personal way and I want to share with you how you can get access to the first one on the 8th September!

I have just had some time off and it was lovely to get out and enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful countryside we live in. Since spring I have been wanting to get out and kayak on the beautiful river that runs from our village down to the sea. It is on our doorstep, our friends have a kayak we can use any time, I had no excuses not to do it, I wanted to do it but why wasn't I doing it?

I felt scared. Scared of all sorts of things like navigating the tides, using a different type of kayak I've never used before etc. etc. My thinking tells me 'I am not a water-sports person' but my soul was calling me out on to the water. I love being on and in the water even though I am a novice having lived in a city all my life.

On Sunday I did it. It was an awesome. It was peaceful, beautiful and fun. For me this is a small example where our soul calls us to do something/be someone but our habitual thinking/fears/beliefs over-rules and we get stuck in a rut.

This feeling of being stuck stops our systems flow. Including our reproductive system.

'Follow your bliss' became my mantra on my journey to discovering who I really was and what inspires me in life. It became the oil that helped get my cogs moving.

If you were to follow your bliss what would you do more of/start doing?

I am passionate about helping people get unstuck. To feel flow in their lives. To give birth to a live they love, even ahead of having a baby. For me this can actually speed up the journey to getting pregnant.

I am doing a webinar on this to dive in to what I learnt on our journey from where I went from feeling stuck and unhappy in life to waking up and getting paid to be 'me'. Oh, and along the way my fertility going from disastrous to near normal without me trying (after trying everything without any success).

Register your place for the live webinar and the recording if you cannot make the live webinar here:
    https://app.webinarjam.net/register/499/f9fcf225d0

Send any questions/topics you want to cover on this subject to me by replying to this email.

    Looking forward to connecting soon.

Enjoy following your bliss, because you are worth it.

    With love,

    Russell x

    Re: My IVF Success Story

This is an e-mail from Russell Davis on the linkages between our emotional needs & fertility.

Hi, I hope you are well! It feels like Autumn is fast approaching here in the UK although it is lovely and sunny today.

This week I want to share something that has helped me over the years. The Human Givens approach to therapy is based on a list of 'givens' or emotional needs of humans. Its basis is that if any of these needs are not met, then it could impact our emotional well-being and can lead to stress, anxiety and disharmony in our life.

When you look at these needs I think it highlights why infertility can be so stressful, lonely and such an emotionally exhausting journey.
The emotional needs audit rates how well your emotional needs are being met in your life right now, on a scale of one to seven (where 1 means not met at all and 7 means being very well met).

    The 'needs' are:

Do you feel secure in all major areas of your life? For instance, in your home life, work life or environment?

Do you feel you receive enough attention?
Do you think you give other people enough attention?
Do you feel in control of your life most of the time?
Do you feel part of the wider community?
Can you obtain privacy when you need to?
Do you have at least one close friend?
Do you have an intimate relationship in you life? (i.e. you are totally accepted physically and emotionally accepted for who you are by at least one person?)
Do you feel an emotional connection to others?
Do you have a status in life (whatever it may be) that you value and that is acknowledged?
Are you achieving things in your life that you are proud of?
Do you feel competent in at least one major area of you life?
Are you mentally and/or physically stretched in ways which give you a sense of meaning and purpose?

If you scored any need 3 or less, it is likely to be a major cause of stress in your life. If your experience is anything like my experience of infertility, you may have scored pretty low in a number of them! I know I can look back on our fertility journey and see how these needs were not being met in me.

Spend a moment now going through them and filling in the last column, asking yourself what you could do to change it, even just one number higher.

Looking forward to connecting with many of you!

    With love,

    Russell x

    Re: My IVF Success Story

This is an e-mail on 'Victim Vs Creator' outlook & how it can affect our fertility.

Hi, I hope you are well. Welcome to the new subscribers!

Finish this statement: Life is a…

We bring our thinking about life and ourselves in to our fertility journey, we dont't create new beliefs within it; the emotional roller coaster generally shines a spotlight on the thinking we had already.

When I look back, that is one of the things I am grateful for about our journey. I learnt so much about myself, my limiting thoughts and beliefs which being aware of them has enabled me to change all areas of my life for the better. It doesn't mean life's a breeze, but it means I am able to be more me, doing something I love and being far more self aware which makes life a continual journey of growth and development rather than being dead to myself in many ways as I was before. I'd shut myself off in an emotional cave to protect myself from being hurt by people and life. It was a prison of thinking and as a result I thought my happiness was dependent on external forces and powers, the prison guards who I had to keep on side with, as they had the power. Life felt like a struggle and I felt powerless.

You may have seen the bumper sticker 'Life is a bitch and then you die'. This is a classic example of the powerless, victim (prisoner) of life mentality. Let's explore this philosophy a little more.

If we were to agree with the first statement, life is a bitch, or any variation of it such as life is a struggle, or life is unfair then why is dying and getting out of the prison of struggle such a bad thing? Surely it should be 'Life's a bit…but then you die!' with a positive inflection at the end! Otherwise it is a contradiction and creates what is called a double bind. It binds you into a circular argument that you cannot escape from.

Many people live life by this philosophy, without being consciously aware of it. I used to. I spent many years in a job that didn't inspire me whilst at the same time was scared I may be laid off when we went through rounds of redundancy. Many people feel the same about their life, their jobs, their relationships. When I finally took the step to leave out of choice to find a job that's more 'me' I lost count of the people that said to me they wished they could do the same. What was different to me from them? I had no super-powers or shed loads of money to fall back on! It was their victim mentality that kept them prisoner there.

The brain is an amazing biological computer. Its purpose is to create and it cannot cope with closed loops that dont't go anywhere. We feel energized when we are inspired, when we send our brain something inspiring. That's a creative energy.

In a poll of middle managers, the most common response to the request to complete the statement 'Life's a…' was life's a battle. The most common response for business owners and executives was life's a game.

Things happen in life that we dont't have control over. Life is a contact sport but we can see that as being a battle or a game. When things happen to us, without us having any choice we do have a choice as to how we respond to it. The victim thinks they are powerless. The creator asks themselves 'what would I like to create from this situation'.

When we get stuck in traffic I can easily be frustrated and annoyed, telling myself there is nothing we can do, we are missing out on what we could be doing if we weren't stuck in this traffic. Talk about being a victim! So now I ask myself, what do I want to create from this situation? If I am with the family it can be a time of playing some games, or making up stories or if I am on my own it could be a time to listen to an audio book or dictate some more of this book!

At the lowest point of our fertility journey, we decided we can create a happy and meaningful life with or without children. Our preference was absolutely with, but it doesn't mean it cannot be done without. When we believe our well-being and happiness are dependent on external circumstances, we get caught in feelings such as anxiety, depression or hopelessness, and that is because we are looking in the wrong place.

So we created our plan. To pack up and go travelling, with the dog, in a camper van. Have an adventure. We chose to use the freedom and flexibility our situation had provided to create something, an adventure. As it tuned out, we didn't get to go on the big adventure as we became pregnant naturally before we went - but before the shift in mindset from victim to creator.

Do you want to be more of a creator? Do you want to turn your life in to an adventure? Due to technical problems some people couldn't get on to my last webinar on how to stop life being on hold and give birth to a life you love. To be more of a creator. You can see it here:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZjE10wpplI

If you want to be more of a creator and turn your life in to adventure, if you sense your heart and soul calling you to be more 'you' in life reply to this email. I have two programmes starting soon that might just be what you need. Hit reply to this email if you would like a conversation to explore whether I can help you give birth to a life you love, even ahead of having a baby. When I became the creator of my life, that's when Project Baby took care of itself.

    Re: My IVF Success Story

Hi everyone, in this issue of the Fertile Mind newsletter, Russell talks about relationship- how we can move on from a place of stress & tension to a place of warmth & connection in this journey. Please click on the short video link below. :-)

Hi, I hope you are well. Welcome to this weeks newsletter and welcome to the new subscribers. We have been having some lovely sunny days here in the UK even as Autumn is creeping up on us. I both love the autumn colours but getting up in the dark to go for a run takes some getting used to again! I love it when I am out there but I've got to be honest I have been struggling to adjust and the duvet feels so much more appealing that the time! I have to remember the phrase 'what feels comfortable in the short term feels uncomfortable in the long term and what feels uncomfortable in the short term feels comfortable in the long term'.

Staying under the duvet feels comfortable in the short term but I know without the benefits running gives me, doing something I love, moving my body etc. I will begin to feel more uncomfortable in life in the long term. It is about getting comfortable with feeling uncomfortable. When you do that you can do anything! (because the uncomfortable feeling is coming from our thinking and not actually the thing we are thinking about!).

I have been reflecting on how much I love my clients and our time together. I posted a video on Facebook the other day to explain something I shared with the client and I was overwhelmed by response I had from it. You can see it here:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee6bMOlDBEs

Let me know how you find it by posting in the comments below the video or reply to this email. I respond personally to every email I get.

I am putting together a new webinar on Visualisation. Everything you need to know about it. How it's helpful, how to do it, why it works etc. and how ultimately it could help you on your journey to having a baby. The webinar date is Thursday 13th October, 8pm UK time.Secure you place now by clicking this link:

    Re: My IVF Success Story

Hi everyone, in this issue of the Fertile Mind newsletter, Russell talks about feelings - How does it affect us as we try to conceive; physically, socially & emotionally.

Hi, I hope you are well. Whilst writing an article on communication in relationships I was just reflecting on my own relationship with emotions. I used to think so much to stop feeling my feelings - this was totally unconscious behaviour. I was so disconnected from my feelings I wasn't able to share them or really understand my wife's, in fact I used to be scared of her emotions.

So what is an emotion/feeling? Here's a summary of what I've learn't over the years!

An emotion is a spontaneous reaction to an situation. It is neither right or wrong, good or bad. It just is. You cannot control what you feel, it is spontaneous.

The problem is that we have a mis-understanding of what a feeling really is. We think it is telling us something in the physical world we live in. We think we are feeling our circumstances. The truth is we are only ever feeling our thinking.

Your thinking paints a picture of 'reality' that is not true, however it is convincing and believable and we forget it is just thought. It is so believable that we start to think about what we need to do about that 'reality' and before we know it one thought has led to another and we are telling ourselves all sorts of stories that are not true.

For example, if your boss is short with you, you may think that you have done something wrong or that they are angry with you. You dont't actually know that is the case. Perhaps they have just had an argument with their partner on the phone before coming to speak with you. We can often tell ourselves all sorts of things that are plausible and believable. Before you know it you are feeling rubbish because you think you are in trouble or you think your boss thinks poorly of you.

So what is real? What is truth? Our thinking creates a separate reality that is so realistic with this it is reality. In this place when others dont't think like us we think there is something wrong with them. In this place we are the reason people are upset or have not replied to the text we sent two minutes ago. In this place we can feel like a victim. In this place life can feel like a struggle because what we think we need to be OK we can't actually control.

When we understand what's behind our human experience, that thoughts and feelings are not created by life circumstances, or anything outside of us, we dont't waste time being in this separate reality. We can see it for what it is. We can come back to the here and now, with clarity and perspective.

This puts us in the place of respecting people who think differently to us. A place of knowing we are OK and we cannot make anyone feel anything as they are feeling their thinking A place of knowing whatever happens in the future you are going to be OK as you're innate well-being is with you, you were born with it. It's a birth right. You see it in children.
That's how we come in to the world uncontaminated with our habitual thinking.

It's a place where we fall in to a more healthy psychological state and thus physical state. It stems the tide of fear and negative thinking that allows you to harness the mind-body link far more effectively and powerfully. When I 'got' this, we became pregnant naturally having been told it would be a 1 in a billion chance of it happening.

Do you want help to spend more time in that place? If yes, hit reply to this email.

    With love,

    Russell x

    Re: My IVF Success Story

    Hi readers,

Today I like to share one of Russell's client's testimonial. She was skeptical about hypnosis & never believed it would work for her. Burdened by failed cycles & a suite of health problems which affected her fertility, she decided to reach out to him to see how he could help. What she first thought impossible became possible & now, she is a mother of twins. Happy news!!! So here is the newsletter from Russell. :-)

Hi, I hope you are well. I recently heard from a previous client and I wanted to share her story with you, which she has given me permission to do so.

Jess had twins after a failed IUI and IVF, polycystic ovaries, endometriosis, protein S deficiency and hormone imbalances. She has never ovulated regularly and has had problematic periods since puberty. She was spending most days in bed feeling deeply depressed and she reached out by sending me an email and our journey together started from there.

Next week I am sharing everything I know about the power of visualisation that is at the core of my hypnosis programmes that helped Jess so you too can harness the power of your mind on your journey to getting pregnant. Register for your spot here:
    https://app.webinarjam.net/register/499/422289a12d

    Over to Jess…

“Since March I have been listening to Russell’s The Fertile Mind mp3 program, before now I have never really been one for self help forums, books or believed that hypnosis works. In all honesty I believed I was one of those people who cannot be hypnotised. But so deep was my despair, and so desperate was I to find something to turn to that might make a difference after my last failed cycle that I figured – what the hell, I may as well give it a go – after all, it can’t hurt.

“And at the time everything else did hurt – from the moment I opened my eyes to the moment I finally managed to sink into the disturbed, pitiful and temporary escape from reality; offered me by my elusive sleeping patterns. So I started listening to this download every night, so quietly I could barely hear it – and at first I did not feel relaxed, or comforted or in the least.

“But looking back I realise I was so full of anger, disappointment and bitterness that I’m not sure anything could have immediately penetrated the fugue of misery that enveloped me. But I persevered, and I now know that this was when the smallest of changes began to happen, it has taken months to get to where I am now, and what with the injections and the side effects on my mood and emotions, it really has been a very difficult time for those around me as well, and it continues to be so – but whenever I feel particularly anxious, worried, or am just hit by the hormonal blues, I turn to this mp3 and i put it on so it is playing in the background – at night it lulls me into sleep, and during the day it soothes the troubled seas of my emotions when they threaten to erupt into stormy waters.

“I am on a board of women who are all on different stages of this IVF journey, I think I have lost count of the times someone has asked ‘Is there anything I can do to improve my chances of success?’ Very often the answers are very practical, eating certain foods that contains nutrients that are favourable in terms of nutritious qualities and may encourage, even aid implantation to the colour of the pants worn on the day of ET or FET – I do not dispute any of the things I have read, the one thing I believe in more than anything is the power of the mind.

“Sometimes I see it when I look back at my own behaviour in certain situations – I can clearly see how I am influenced and affected by things I am not even aware of at the time, but in hindsight can understand are a result of the way my brain works and influences me without my conscious knowledge.

“So I do believe that listening to Russell’s soothing and relaxing way of speaking and what he talks about in regards to preparing my body, my mind, about my eggs, my embryos and the way in which I relate to and am connected to the natural world is one of the things that made the difference on this latest attempt – along with serendipity, eternally springing hope, providence, prayer, gratitude, love and endurance – all these are the factors which have carried me this far along in my quest for motherhood – No god given right, but a blessing, a gift and something that I treasure and value beyond anything else in my life up until this point.

“I am now have twins, it is my belief that Russell Davis’ mp3 program, and the support he gave me, was a big part of my success story, I would not be without it – in fact I do not think I could be without it.

“Thank you Russell, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me make my dreams come true.”

    Re: My IVF Success Story

Hi ladies, if you like to have more peace of mind & well-being on this journey, I am pleased to announce that Russell (Fertility Cognitive Hypnotherapist, Coach, Author & Speaker& a registered member of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) & The National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH) Fertility Specialist Advisor) will be holding a small group coaching session (aka Butterfly Programme) especially for women in Singapore! Yes!!! You heard it right! The maximum group size is 4 for the weekly phone calls to take place. Yes, everyone will dial in LIVE at a timing which is convenient for everyone. In this small group coaching session which will last about 12 weeks, you will also have access to audio recording & a whole suite of hypnosis tracks (they are really relaxing!) to listen to AND you will also have a few useful self-help books sent to you. Each call will not last more than an hour & everyone will get their turn to speak, although not everyone may get to speak every week. During the phone calls, you can bring up whatever is bothering you (not necessarily fertility-related) & you can experience his coaching LIVE. And you may even get the chance to undergo therapy in which you will go back to a point in your painful past & learn to let go of those thorns... I did & wow, my eyes were tearing as I recalled how I was unfairly physically disciplined as a child. Do PM me if you are interested in this exclusive group coaching. He will not take in too many women as it will affect the amount of time he can spend with each of us.

There is also another option for women who may not have the financial resources. He has an online Mind-Body programme which you can do at your own pace. Modules include Acceptance, Insight, Fear & Expectation, etc. You will be able to have access to him via e-mail for any help you need. He is also committed to this programme. Again, he is limiting this to not more than 20 women worldwide at any time so that he can give his attention properly. This programme is definitely wallet-friendly! :0) I took part in this too!

Last but not least, there is also a 1-to-1 3 month mindset makeover programme where he will
do quite a fair bit of therapy on thinking patterns from childhood & helping client to understand the inside-out nature of the human experience. On top of that, clients will also receive customized & general fertility and healing hypnosis downloads. This is the most expensive programme as it is 1-to-1. So please do have a conversation with him to see which programme is most suitable for you. This conversation will be available at no cost.

Remember to let me know if you are interested in the group coaching programme! Only about 4 places are available & are on a first-come first-served basis.

    Re: My IVF Success Story

And here is an e-mail from Sarah Holland from UK. She is a very experienced EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practitioner with 15 years behind her. See which works for you & your fertility! She is offering free consultation to only a few women who are trying to conceive! Get in touch with her!

I love keeping in touch with you via social media, videos and emails. It blows my mind that my fertility support blog posts and short tapping videos can easily be viewed by thousands of woman all over the world in need of fertility support. And from the positive feedback I receive each time I post something new I’m guessing you like them too!
However nothing is quite like real-life connection and conversation, is it? In our technology driven world we mustn’t lose touch with the positive impact of human interaction.
Can you remember having a conversation with someone where they had set aside time just to listen to you? The exchange of ideas between you and the sense of hope and strength they left you with was remarkable and couldn’t ever be replicated by an email or Facebook message..
This is exactly the kind of conversations I have been having this past week with you lovely Fertile Mindset subscribers. I’ve been jumping on Skype (and sometimes the phone!) to spend 30 minutes, one-to-one with women in need of emotional support on their fertility journeys. I’ve been hearing about their fertility journeys thus far, listening to them share what their greatest needs are, and discovering how they can move forward in a positive way towards their goal of having a baby.
I’ve been offering these 30 minute “get to know each other” consultations free of charge to anyone who may be interested in fertility support with me (you can read about my fertility support here).
Whether you are certain you want fertility support, or are still deciding, I’d love to invite you to hop on to Skype or the phone with me too. Let's talk about you and your fertility journey and how we can make it better.
I hope that just this 30 minute chat is valuable to you, and if you want to continue with my support that's great too. I have a couple of spots remaining for new clients, but there's absolutely no obligation to work with me further by taking up this free consultation.
Visit this page and scroll to the bottom to request your free 30 minute fertility support consultation with me. It could be the best thing you do for you and your fertility this week.
    With love,

    Re: My IVF Success Story

It sucks to be on this journey, doesn't it? Especially when it seems everybody seems to be having it so easy! x number of children by a certain age kind of thing going for them. Grrr... A few months back, a MP doing his house visit asked when will I have a second one. My answer deep in my heart was, "Man I dont't know. I really dont't. Because it is not something I can control. After all, if just by having regular intercourse & charting BBT, I will get preggy, so will everyone of you. Period. " Instead, I shoved the real me underneath & smiled & said "Oh, when lady luck smiles on me". And he said "it is better to have the second one as soon as possible". Does he think I do not know that? I wish I could retort but I could not as he was with a large entourage.

Sometimes, just sometimes though, when I accept the fact that the outcome is not something within 100% of my control, I feel at peace. Yes at peace with myself. I feel calm & dont't feel the anger rushing through me asking "When will it be my turn?!" I feel calm even on this fertility journey. I never knew calmness existed for one trudging down the infertility road...

Here is an e-mail from Russell on finding peace within yourself, not from outside.

Hi there I hope this finds you well. I am feeling really tired right now but am buzzing from the insights and growth I have been experiencing recently. I realised I have a habit of thinking I know something, but that prevents us from learning something new, having fresh insights. I am experiencing this roller-coaster of life with more of a beginners mind and am loving the learning and insights that come with it.

I encourage you to read this email with a beginners mind.

Fertility is often referred to as an emotional roller-coaster. But life is also a roller-coaster. The ups and downs and twists and turns of the roller-coaster of everyday life may not be as steep and high as the fertility ride, but life is still a contact sport and you never know what’s around the corner.

When we feel the need to try and control circumstances and outcomes in order to know we are going to be OK it can be like trying to steer a roller-coaster.

Firstly it is futile because nothing can predict the future, not even your thinking no matter how hard you fret over it! Trying to control outcomes and worrying about future events only bring stress, anxiety and unhappiness.

Your thinking is telling you that you’ll be OK IF you know is going to happen or IF you can ensure particular a outcome.

Many of my clients have a belief that they are OK if they feel in control. This can lead to being obsessive in finding out information or searching for the answer that is going to make all the difference. In the past they have wanted to achieve something such as a successful career they have strived, battled and obtained what they wanted. Now that strategy is not working with their fertility. Fertility is something you cannot have full control over, it is an art as well as a science, which means they feel even more particularly uncomfortable and stressed. In fact the striving is based on a fear of not achieving and the associated stress can actually be keeping you from it.

You can’t control a roller coaster. The more you try the more you resist every twist and turn, every up and every down. That can be very uncomfortable.

Your thinking is trying to control life because it thinks his well-being is dependent on circumstances. Dependable future outcomes, dependent on knowing you are in control. The thinking is telling you can relax if you know you’re in control. You may as well try and steel roller coaster because it doesn’t work. Because the thinking is looking the wrong place for peace of mind. Peace of mind does not come from controlling circumstances. If you think it does you never get to the place of contentment and peace. There’s always something else to worry about, another situation to feel in control.

Nothing can predict the future not even your thinking. The future is an incomplete equation by it’s nature, because it doesn’t exist, it only exists in our thinking. Stop trying to complete it.

Peace of mind is a state you drop in to when you stop trying to be OK. When you stop trying to control things. When your thinking collapses and your mind quietens. You drop in to it without trying. It’s ironic we try so hard to be OK, to get pace of mind but that trying/thinking is what is preventing us from having it.

You were born with it. Look at little children they dont’t have to do their journalling, affirmations, meditation to be OK. They drop back in to being OK naturally. It’s our default state within us we return naturally when we stop trying to interfere with the system.

The more we recognise this the more we begin to trust whatever happens on the outside, whatever happens in the future, wherever this roller-coaster of life takes you, you are going to be OK.

When we realise this we can create what we want in our life, achieve our goals whether it’s the promotion or the baby with a greater sense of ease and wellbeing.

Whatever happens you are going to be OK, do you know that?

    With love,

    Russell x

    Re: My IVF Success Story

It used to be unbearable for me around the due day whenever I saw blood instead of double blue lines. My heart would inevitably feel heavy & sink, and I would feel down the whole day & I would wonder "Why can't it be my turn sooner???" This was made all the more unbearable when celebrities broadcast their positive news and I would curse & swear. The most recent case in SG was Joanne Peh. Sighs... Some people really do have it easy huh? As for the rest of us, we try our best to pretend we did not see other young parents with their babies & toddlers in tow whenever we go out. We pretend that we dont't mind. We pretend we are more interested in the latest fashion fads & jet-setting when the truth is, the TRUTH (of our Infertility) hurts! Add to that sarcastic comments from people around us "you should have babies quickly you know. You are not getting any younger". YES, auntie, we certainly do NOT need your kind reminder.

That is why on an almost daily basis, I tell my daughter 'thank you for being borne to me. Mama is so grateful & happy to have you as my daughter. Thank you for fighting through all the way to the end. You were the only egg which survived." For a good 1 year, I said it with tears in my eyes because truly, my heart was full of gratitude. Had she given up the fight before egg retrieval, I would be at my second/third/.... cycle. Even though she is almost 3 years old now, I still say it frequently though my eyes are no longer teary.

In this journey, when we feel so physically lonely & emotionally devoid, we can reach out to hold the hands of professionals who truly understand our feelings & our sense of wanting.

    Re: My IVF Success Story

Hey ladies there's a free webinar by Russell going on. Please feel free to register and receive the recording. How many of the fertility myths do you believe in? For me I have to say it is at least 4.

Hi, I hope you are well. Welcome to this weeks newsletter! Welcome to the new subscribers as well.

This afternoon I have been planning the webinar tomorrow night exploring the principles behind peace of mind. I’ve identified what I call the 7 Deadly Myths that prevent us from having peace of mind. They are:
    1. Thinking is useful
    2. X makes me feel Y
    3. I’m OK if/when…
    4. I must have more positive thinking
    5. I’m broken and need fixing
    6. Negative emotions means something is wrong with me/life
    7. I have to strive to get what I want in life

Join me as I debunk these myths and align you to the reality of where peace of mind comes from and how you can have what you want in life with greater ease and well-being!

I client the other day said “…the clarity I was searching for was always there for me, but I just didn't realise it…I can now see that I really can trust myself and let go, with the secure knowledge that things will work out as they are supposed to.”

Join me for this free webinar tomorrow evening, if you can’t join us live you will get the full recording. Register your place here:

I’m also going to be sharing a new programme to help you connect with your innate well-being, stop life feeling on hold and have your mind and body fall in to the optimum physical and psychological state for you to get pregnant.

    With love,

    Russell x
