Recommendation for IVF in public hospital

With the govt funding of IVFs in public hospitals, I would like to know if anyone has recommendation for gynaes, consultants in public hospitals e.g. KK, NUH, singapore general hospital?

I'm trying my 1st attempt of IUI in KKIVF centre......The procedures are going fine and the nurses are extremely friendly full of advices....Y dont't you try?

Anyone tried IVF in public hospital? Can share whats the cost like? And how was the process?

i did my ivf ib Kandang Kerbau Hospital

the whole process is very time consuming as you ve to back for scaning of follicles. all my friends ivf cost around 6K + paid by govt subsidy n medisave no cash at all, unlike mine i ve to pediatrician about 4k in cash cos of the high dosage of injection i took.

first you ve to go for saline infusion sonohysterography (sis) after yr menses to check yr womb from what i know lots of gynae skip this step which is very impt if yr womb is not in good condition then no use. a friend of mine skip this step as her gynae didnt mention at all as a result her ivf failed , after which she change gynae n went for the sis n found out that there is a lining on the center of her womb which make implanation of embryo not possible

then meet social worker for counselling. then come the actual process

stage 1 take injection 1 . suppression of hormone
stage 2 take injection 1 & 2 together. stimulate eggs grow + scan
stage 3 take injection 3 only . to ripen egg
stage 4 day surgery to extract follicles about 15 to 30 mins then rest for 3 to 4 hours
stage 5 embryo transfer n take follic acid
stage 6 take injection 4 n take blood test for good news
all take about 2 months to complete

Wah, really long process and sounds tedious. Do you have to stay home after they extract out? What makes you decide to go for IVF? Was yours successful?

well sad to sae mine wasnt successful, you will be given 7 days mc , up to you what you want to do but preferably no work .

i ve post lots of my ivf thing in the thread anybody trying to concieve by iui
