Hi I'm new here, thought just to share share
I had to do D&C (missed abortion) because the fetus did not develop after we first got pregnant around this time last year. Hubby and I were quite devastated as we are not a 'young' couple with him age 37 and yours truly age 36 . Although we only got married in year 2007, we are very aware of the risks and lower chances of conception if we are not kiasu about it.
I got pregnant quite soon 1st time after my Doc pinpointed our problem, actually my problem which is prolactinemia ie too high hormone in making milk ( even though I was not pregnant!!), causing my brain to think that I am pregnant. Never knew or heard of such a condition
Anycase, like i mentioned earlier fetus did not develop and we found out miscarriages are fortunately (usually becoz of genetic abnormality so better not to have anyway) or unfortunately (parents still feel the 'loss') quite common.
I bucked myself up and some kind motherly colleagues shared that it is better to try conceive again after 6 months! Anycase, I have also heard from other colleague who got pregnant right after fibroid removal so decided to try 2nd month after my D&C (procedure to remove fetus).
and behold we got pregnant third month and I am now in my 28 weeks!
The points which helped us
1) Do NOT stress yourself / yourselves
2) Use ovulation test kit
3) Must do it the day or day after positive ovulation (friends all happened to have boys and we are also expecting baby boy)
4) Putting up my legs for 30 mins rightafter sex
Apology, I hope i wasn't too cheong hei here. Thought details will be good because we went thorugh and understand the waiting and frustrations..
Ciao for now and best of luck to all deserving women out there!

Shakespeare may have had it wrong when he wrote those lines. A name is important because it is the one thing to stay with your child throughout their entire life and affects who it is they become. Having a name which they can live with and be proud of, therefore, is crucial to having a good start in life and this book will show you exactly how to pick the right one. Sometimes choosing the right name is simply a case of hearing one you like near the birth of your baby and knowing instantly that you've chosen correctly. However, for the vast majority of parents the naming process becomes a complex minefield of trying to please parents, grandparents, friends and siblings while trying to avoid embarrassing acronyms with their newborn's initials, or names that could be shortened into ridiculous nicknames. Parents also like to choose something unique, but not too unique, or common but not too common, or a name which is symbolic of a cultural event at the time of the baby's birth. A name could come from an admired celebrity's baby, a sports star, or an influential historical or political figure. It could also come from the family tree, or be part of a long-standing tradition where sons are named after fathers and daughters are named after mothers. The possibilities and chances to make a mistake or offend someone are practically endless and it's understandable that it can set some parents into panic mode.
Well, never fear. This book talks you through each of your options carefully and discusses how to solve your baby-naming dilemmas in practical ways. It's also updated annually, which means you'll know the latest trends in baby names and find out the most popular names for your baby's classmates to help guide you towards your final decision. If you are a parent for whom finding your baby's name is simply a case of seeing it written down then you'll love the dozens of lists we've included, highlighting the popular, the classic and the downright weird names children have been given over the years.
Refer my BBT chart shiseru Ovulation Charts
FF suggested I ovulated on day 9, started testing with OPK on day 10 to day 12 all -ve.
It seems my temp after ovulation doesn't really rise a lot (from 36.23 to 36.40), and has been staying at 36.4 for 4 days in a row! When i look at your chart, i can see change in temperature during the DPO and temp is also higher, but mine has no sign of temperature increased after ovulation
I wonder if that means I did not ovulate? :'(
counting down hope AF dont arrive..
anyone with good news? i feel very disappointed.. >.<
fail ..AF ARRIVE...sian ar... you ladies know where can i bu cheap ovulation strip?
Hi dear all i am new here also. I am trying for baby since last year Dec. Have being trying lol but dont have how !!
i'm trying to a tiger baby and indeed that i did success after seeing traditional chinese medicine for 3 months...
but unfortunately, my pregnancy doesn't last also as baby's heartbeat stopped at 8.5weeks...
my first AF just went by after the D&C and hope to try for another tiger baby on jan or feb 2010...
i did not do so many tests like you all did eventho i have trying to concieve for more than a yr... this traditional chinese medicine that i visit, will give a chart from the first day of my AF and will tell me which day to try and which day to avoid...
most imptly, he diagnosis that i have PCOS and right ovary is very weak for conceive so will let me skipped trying to concieve when my right side is ovulating... and my that succeed pregnancy was on the left side...
before i went to see traditional chinese medicine, i was seeing gynae but did not do any test for me, etc... just told me that both of us are fine but just dont know why that i cant conceive... so i had actually given up hope by seeing gynae...
dont give up hope.. there's still lots of method that we did not try before... since everyone of us are normal, our chances of conceiving will be coming soon too... altho i did stress on this previously, but stop stressing about it is not a big issue if you have overcome it...
for me, maybe i'm more relaxed as my traditional chinese medicine will tell me which date to try etc, so that i dont need to calculate, etc..
Good Luck to Everyone!!!!!!!
nope, nothing at all... i just told him that we are trying for baby. then he'll read both me and my hubby's pulse and will ask some information like when is the last AF, how long is the cycle... but for me, he will know when my next AF is coming... and is always on the same day or around the corner..
he'll then prescribe medication for both of us to brew it... he will tell us honestly whether we need IUI or IVF straight... but even doing IUI or IVF, he'll also prescribe some medication to take so that will enhance the chance of conceiving.. he will not crash the medication with the gynae...
he's at marine parade central which lots of ppl seeing him for trying to concieve-ing and lots of recommendations in the forum too...
you can find trying to concieve Abbreviations & Glossary here http://www.babysnark.com/glossary/glossary.asp
So are you using any tools to help you to determine when you ovulate?
to be honest, my problem with trying to concieve is not being unable to conceive.. is more of irregular menstruation cycles.. *sigh*
Hi gals, im new here. Ive been trying for years but still no news sad...
