Ya I hope I dont't need to take back what I said about not being able to put on weight...hahaha....I only hope for my appetite to improve...

Right now, I only hope the next 6 months can pass by quickly so that I can push and it's out...of all sickness I hate, I hate vomitting the most...
I understand its hard to enjoy pregnancy now due to all the sickness....IMHO, the pregnancy journey is actually considered as a honeymoon as compared to when your child is born. To me, sleep is considered as a luxury "item" when my girl is born....

wow...if i bfp should i quiet quiet too?
it's a good point to be quiet. maybe even entirely. i understand that 1st trimester very crucial. especially i am an anxious freak. i might learn of something i should do but i never in forum and lose sleep
probably even see less of forum postings.

    just saying.

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

Tvh - I also puked 2 weeks ago and felt unwell. But after that ok. Erm I guess try not to think about it - that helped for me. Kinda like the more you think morning sickness is coming, the more you will get it. My logic anyway...

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

Ladies - wanna tell you all I am expecting a dragon. Saw the kkj today. Hahaa first porno shot of the lil' muffin.

Visit to my gynae #1 was good. His scans were more detailed and he spent 30min consultation with me. He also told me about the maternity21 test which is the latest alternative to amnio - which is up to 99.8% accurate. Maternity21 takes the blood of the mum to do a test / analysis - the blood is sent to USA cuz of the equipment to analysis. Because it is very new and need to ship to usa, the cost is ex - sgd3800. But it comes with zero risk to the foetus (unlike amnio). He mentioned that my ill' muffin is growing well and all looks fine and oscar and blood results all ok, so if I want that added peace of mind, I can do the test.

So now I am in a dilemma:
    1/ go for maternity21 test?
    2/ which gynae to choose?
    - on one hand, gynae #2 helped with the bfp and more detailed with the pre bfp checks. But his scans post bfp were very fast (30s) and he didnt give as much details ie weight, head circumference, length of baby... With today's visit with gynae #1 (my original gynae), I got to see all details and the doc showed brain, heart, thighs, toes, hands, fingers Etc. gynae #1's machine was also more advanced hence more details. He saved into thumb drive somemore!
    - gynae #2's consultation was more detailed pre bfp. but post bfp - very fast - 5 min. But today gynae #1 spent 30min with us explaining this and that. I guess gynae #1 is more scientific but gynae #2 is more traditional.
    - gynae #1 costs more than gynae #2. Today's consultation was double the price *faint*

my hubby who's more scientific kind, prefers gynae #1 although he finds him a bit boastful but my hubby said he prefers more facts. Hahah hubby also said no more gynae #3! Other than that, he leaves the decision to me.

I dont't know ... I am usually indecisive.. And this is a darn big decision!!!

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

    LittleJ,

i would say go for the one you feel most comfortable with...

gynae#1 using 3D scan? the machine you were describing about sound like a 3D scan, like what my friend had with her Gynae.
her gynae is Dr Chan KH, maybe you can consider this gynae, heard that he is very nice, stitching good.
    but quite expensive

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

littlej, personally i feel the maternity21 test is not necessary because your gynae has told you that your baby is growing well so there's really not a need to do an extra test...have you considered what you might do if let's say...choy choy the maternity21 test comes back with less than favourable results? Because after all, it's still only 99.8% accurate, there's still no 100% accuracy....there's still a slight 0.2% chance that the results are false. The only way you can know for sure with 100% accuracy whether your baby has turned out well would be when you have given birth. But of course, if you are still not convinced about the oscar results and you know that you will still keep thinking about the maternity21 test, then i would say go for it.

As for gynae, you have got to be with the one you are most comfortable with because after all, that gynae will have very close contact with you. You need someone who is personable and approachable. Every gynae has their own style and advice, so you need to determine who gives you a better peace of mind throughout your pregnancy progress.

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

Littlej, I guess having a gynae who you feel comfortable till you give birth is important. I think you feel a bit 'indebted' to gynae 2 coz he is the one who helped bring you to bfp. But if you feel more comfy with gynae 1 for giving birth than that's more important!

Ok, I've broken the fever and feeling back to normal. Hubby says round 2's up since I have a smiley in the afternoon. See you ladies tomorrow! Bwahahaha

Haha quincy, once preggy, your gynae will schedule a series of tests for you to do but none are invasive unless you need to go for more advanced checks to ascertain the results. Mostly are just tummy ultrasounds. dont't worry, they are all just very routine and standard tests that every pregnant mummy needs to go through.

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

littlej, so the truth is finally out!! A little kkj. Heeeee.... Little kkj or abalone, you can surely heave a sigh now that your gynae #1 has tested/measured the baby all very well. Sounds like total good news to me!

If I may say, I echo TVH's. I dont even think a 100% foetus test is available in the medical world. There will always be "another test better than the last". Cost aside. I know you're concerned that your OSCAR not being the "best" score (if it were me, I think I'm over the moon if I got 1:2000!). Each has his own benchmark. So you know best what's to be done to make yourself (and your hubby too perhaps) sleep better at night. Yes I agree the maternity21 is not just 380 but 3800. But then again, if you feel this spend is worth it to you for the next 6 months, then go ahead. To me, as the old saying says, money can always be earned back. You decide what's best for you and your little dragon ok?

Wah gynae #2 gives your scan into a thumbdrive? Then confirm I will choose #2. LOL. Joke aside, I think #2 did a good job in giving you details since you like details! You think l.or.... every visit you want chop chop currypok or someone who will patiently talk you through on the development of your muffin? I guess the gynae must be quite popular or else he can't afford to be "boastful". Just like some hawker stall owners are darn yaya but I still like to go patronise and eat their famous yummy food and end of it I feel very 满足 because that's what I am looking for... to satisfy my taste bud.

Dont need to rush.... take these few days to slowly decide what works best for you three.
