me: 30 (pcos, thin lining tho never done d&c)
hub: 32 (sperm very average, bad heads n tails)
married in 2009 (after 8 yrs tog), started trying to concieve 2 yrs later only to hit so many walls.

    done 3 clomid cycles
    done 2 gonal f iuis
    done 5 puregon iuis
done 2 puregon ivf (ivf #1 no frozen )
    done 1 fet
was on traditional chinese medicine for awhile then stopped before my fet.. I saw no point continuing cos I didnt think it helped.

done hsg on valentines day 2012 both tubes ok

Happilymarried : your time will come, soon! I really admire your will to trying to concieve. Actually I have a couple of friends took awhile to conceive thru iui/ivf. But when they r successful, 2 of them have twins! Would you like to have twins too?

@ missA - I started using bio oil since my second month itself though it says that can start from second trimester..I scratched one day so hard that got nail marks so I use the oil to make sure the skin in that area is soft, i dont feel itchy so much nowadays, not sure is it coz of oil or my skin is stretchy now..my tummy is getting tighter each day especially upper part..
I apply like 2-3 timesin a week as of now..
It smells nice and is relaxing to receive a massage from hubby

It is around $16 only..I didn't wanted to spend much coz I was not sure of how my skin will be..as of now just have couple of marks which i had before too, dont see major changes yet so bio oil seems ok but if marks get much I would switch to Clarins..it is highly recommended on forums..

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

missA - you must start your anti stretch mark creams asap ya. I havent used before, but i ever bought Clarins brand (4 bottles) fr airport before (there was special discount) for a friend's younger sis who was preggie then... & as for twins... i would welcome triplets even. haha.. tho i know its no good becos can get many complications. My in laws say no rush, but i know they are just being polite. Afterall, i m tog with my hubby 10 over years... kinda stagnant life now.. so sian. we worked so hard to earn & save money only to spend it all like water now with doc and hospital fees...

quincy - she is eunice.chua. Her clinic is at level 3 thomson medical. Sorry if any of you are with her, but she just doesnt work for me. Started seeing her in 2009 and 2010 for yearly scans & pap smear. BOTH times, i told her i was on diane for 9 yrs due to 'blackout' cramps and 8 days bleeding in my uni days & partially for skin. Told her i will trying to concieve in 2011. As a doc, she casually told me stop only the month before i want to try!! ARGH! thinking about it gets me mad. I did as she instructed. After stopping & ttcing for around 2-3 months, i went back to her for scan and she said oh you are not ovulating and your lining is awfully thin. WTH?! she could not have the ethical sense to tell me to stop 1 yr before, then check if i O on my own? she then put me on 3 cycles clomid which did not help my lining (only around 5mm everytime). Each clomid she put me was lowest dose, and she just wanted 1 egg each time, not even 2. 1 of the cycles, the egg did not even pop, her comments, oh must be from previous round of clomid. WOW, i wanted to kill her at that time. I chose to do 1 gonal f with her, also lowest dose again, with 1 egg. After that failed cycle. I had enough of her. I think she doesnt have that urgency in her, she is super nua and does not understand that time is ticking away for us. My PCOS was discovered later after the continued stims. My 3RD gynae now is also a lady. She is great. She understands my concerns and is kan cheong for me. She doesnt waste my time and she gives me options. Her nurses are also great, all polite and very gentle.

dragontail - i am still reading and learing fr past posts... didnt know you been thru so much. You are so strong! I had always thought to myself, getting a BFP and then losing it is still better than never getting any BFP before. I am so wrong. Both are equally bad. But, dont give up. The right time will come! =)

happilymarried: i feel for you. if you r willing, you can report her to the medical council. but of course it is a tedious process. glad you finally found a dutiful gynae.

Thank ladies for answering my qns regarding exercising.

All along, my mindset is: once the bean stick, it will stick and will not detached itself. Guess this is not the case. Got to change my mindset and be careful during the 2ww.

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

    MissA -

me using clarins stretch mark cream since week 6. I have been very generous in the application - butt, thighs, hips, tummy (below navel and above navel) and breast... And I use every night. During the day, i use my normal body moisturizer on the same areas except tummy where i use clarins. I am now on the 3rd bottle... =p very expensive affair but I am so scared of getting severe stretch marks - I still wanna wear my bikini after popping!!!

I tried bio oil but I dont't like the oily feel. For me, I never liked the oily feel even when doing massages. I like massages but always need to shower directly after to get rid of the oil. Feel it is very sticky....

Oh, please rem to check epilator is safe for use during pregnancy.

    Happily married -
sounds like it has been a horrible experience. And glad you found a gynae you're comfortable with now. And wow, you did many treatments! admire your tenacity. Is the gynae you're currently seeing also a fertility specialist? Not sure who's the traditional chinese medicine you seen previously but for me, I personally thought traditional chinese medicine helped. In addition to the other methods as outlined by everyone here =)

    Lishan -
preseed is safe. Hahahah I used it too. But dont't use too much... !

    Natalie -
Sigh. I used to be scared of 小强 but have learnt to be more independent and will spray hordes and hordes of insecticide! dont know why these 小强 only appear when my old man is working late or playing golf!! Anyway I am now using natural means to deter them - pandan leaves and the roach sticker thingy on the wall. I used to use lemongrass oil but heard not good for pregnancy.

Tvh - For low lying placenta - do not squat (for yoga poses that involve squatting, please sit on a bolster or a block or a stack of towels instead). This is what the yoga instructor has advised the students with low lying placenta to do.

Also, I heard from my friend who has a similar condition that sufficient rest is important. Also, her doc said no sex. The placenta technically should gradually move up as the pregnancy progresses.
