Poohy, that's a nice start that he helps to squeeze the mop! Talking about mopping, on saturday, I was mopping the study room (usually I only mop my room and the rest will be cleaned by my inlaws). And my hubby didnt know i was mopping it. I just wanted to help...cleaning more than my own room. Because the study room has many heavy boxes, I need to shift them around as I mop. Even the study side table with wheels, is also very heavy. The wet floor made it worse and when I pushed the side table, gosh I lost the grip and down my butt on the floor. My hubby rushed in and was shocked to see me on the floor. And im sure he wont let me mop again from now (at least during 2ww and preggie). So you can try the method. Lololol.
Littlej: try use computer to loggin facebook to play instead of phone.
Dragontail: wa 9 whole mths .. omg.. my cousin actually also didnt know shes preg ubtil baby was about 4 to 5 mths old due to tummy pain see doc. But dont know hw they didnt realise that af is not there for almost 5 mths. I think your friend must be super duper surprised, suddebly be q mum n didnt prepare and buy any baby stuff.
Poohy: everything ok for you already? Suggest him to hire helper once a week?
Strange things do happen sometime. But I wonder dont't they feel that they have balloon in size and the tummy is super hard when touch/press.
On a flip side, how I wish i can go thru the same thing too. Tummy ache, send hospital and there I have a baby in my arm. No morning sickness and etc
Husband do housework. But still have room for improvement. I am not complaining at least he bother to do it without being asked. But secretly, I wish he can help with the cooking too. Must remind myself that cannot ask for too much.
poohy - dragontail method of butt on wet floor is good! no harm trying.. heehee..
dragontail - no more falling down on your butt im staying in pasir ris.. but always go see doc in orchard.. the commute up down is quite tiring sometimes.. the eys traditional chinese medicine was at paragon but think she just doesnt work for me..
dragontail- thats a painful way to make hubby realise that they have to do housework! ouch.....but i think hubby will show black face also ..he always dont understand why i so tired still go do housework..as if the house dirty also never mind.
I dont bother packing his study room ..give up. So many things and papers lying around..i tried to throw his old letters before and kena scolding. So i leave it messy also (close 2 eyes!)
cant get a maid until i'm positively pregnant ...
pretz - lucky blessed woman...have a hubby who do without asking! good man!
hehhe, i also like the portion of having stomachache and pop out comes a baby! wooooh....
Pretz, I also think this saga may be a blessing in disguise for her. Imagine for whole 9mths you are not obsessed with bbt, cm reading, special diet, and can fly here fly there, smoke/drink and be merry and end of it you are still blessed with a sudden healthy baby. Now that's her blessing and a miracle!
Happilymarried, I hate the travel and waiting time generally. I would have surely given up if I ever started! Since you're a easterner (btw I love pasiris! Lived there for few years. If only I could convince my other half to get a house there. But he says must be near his parents. Doh), there's a popular traditional chinese medicine in marine parade who helps couples. Heard positive results from friends, friends' friends, friends' friends' friends. But long waiting time plus you gotta brew the herbs.
One success story is the herbs have made the hubby's swimmers' heads become sharp, not round like before. Therefore easier to fertilise the wife's egg. After years (can't remember exactly 5 or 7) of failed trying to concieve, they finally conceive.
Harlow. Anybody AF due this week?
Good morning everyone =)
*gasp* no more public holidays until aug?? So sad... Maybe need to take personal leave then =)
Wa - really or not? No idea of being pregnant until baby popped?!? Ok I can understand for teenagers cuz always so full of activities and getting preggers is something that would never cross their mind. But for a 30 year old woman?!? This lady must be super blur. But wow, imagine ouch ouch stomach pain and out pops a baby.
Natalie - I like the no prawn have fish also good mentality =p
Dragontail also recommended me to see dr wu liping at Amk and convenient for me. So I went to see her too. Think she is one key factor which helped me with my bfp.
Dragontail - hope your butt is feeling better now?
Sorry to say that man are "push" factor.... my hubby is mummy boy since young, he dont need to make his bed, wash his cups(just take new ones, and sink can full of cups), nor wash underwear..... all done by his beloved mother... my mother in law to the extend can even remove grapes seed for them(3 sons n 1 father in law)
But at our own house, hubby got say me, if i want him to help out housework, i cannot expect him to do my way... i need to decrease my expectation.... then he will auto help..... so that explain how he mop floor with that tsk tsk sound, i keep asking him is he okay? Then his reply is dont care about me, just rest.... so i close 2 eyes, then slowly touch up behind him hahahahaa
I think like that make him got satisfaction and he happy i happy....
Morning everyone!!!! Am back!
Was supposed to O last weekend but I think I O late as I only started having mucus two days ago! Lol
Oh yes! Feed your hubby with walnuts. Walnuts helps in spermies. Saw this article once in yahoo news sometime ago. you all may wanna try googling. I normally buy the natural walnut for my hubby. Give them as tidbits to eat haha.
Sorry to hijack
for trying to concieve pretty ladies... got promo
Littlej, yes my butt is ok now. My hubby brought me back to our room after my fall and then kissed my bum. How are you feeling lately? Have you felt baby kicks yet do tell!!
Missy10, my man also is apple of the eye in the family. All he does is open his mouth and everything is done in the house. But I kinda train him since I moved in. He has the habit of not washing the dishes after cooking maggie mee (most of time he is not the one cooking too). I have to remind him no one in the house is his maid ok. He will then wash but he wont give black face because I think what I said touches his conscience. I was brought up to take care of own things....and I always remind him that if he wants his child to be independent, he has to set as one. You dont want to slave around your child right, I asked him.
One thing for sure, we will hire a PT helper when we move out. This will make everyone happy . Dont want to go into who should do this do that. Get one issue out of the way!
Missy10- wah mummy's boy! But i guess most boys are brought up this way....their generation all like boys. My mom also pamper my brother and i always scold my mom.scoop rice to eat also canot do himself. sigh....my hubby really need loads of asking before he will move. he can tahan untidyness very well coz his room last time is a junk/store room. he also dont bother and sleep.
walnuts good? ohhh if this round not successful shall ask him to eat walnuts. He likes cashew nuts though.haha
So what does your bbt read? O-ed already?
I also read that walnut is super food for men's fertility. I only wish I can stuff some into my hubby. I always have walnut at home which I put into cereal. But asking my man eat nuts (any kinds of nuts) is like asking me to eat beef/mutton. 不吃就是不吃!
Mummy's boy - that's the way to put it! Hahaha same for my hubby. I remembered the first time we brought fruits back home.I was happily chomping on the apple and he looked at me and this was how the conversation went. I still remember till this day. That was how memorable it was!
Littlej : "what"
Old man : "you not going to cut for me?"
littlej (almost fell off the chair) :"Huh apples also need to cut?!?"
Old man (defensively) : "my mum always cut fruits for me".
Littlej (couldn't stop laughing) : "you go cut yourself ."
Old man : "huh, you not going to cut for me?"
Littlej (still couldn't stop laughing) : "my mum brought me up like a horse, I chomp on full apples not sliced apples. I dont't know how to cut. Come come you try eating apples this way." (Tried stuffing apple into his mouth)
Hahaa - but in the end I still went to cut for him cuz I thought it was so funny. Now, he no longer eat sliced apples. =p
he used to throw clothes on the floor..i tell him once that if he throw the clothes and i need to pick it up..then he has to be prepared to buy new clothes as i will throw it directly to the dustbin or used it to wipe the floor..hahah
i will usually do some of the cleaning before or after him (but always when he is not around)...ehhe
Oooo dragontail - literally, he kissed your ass (拍马屁) hur hur - corny corny.
I have decided to embark on a healthy lifestyle from today onwards. No more soft drinks, no more sweet drink (green tea etc), just plain water. And no more generous slapping of margarine on my sandwich every morning - only whole meal bread and a slice of cheese. 汉堡包 and 薯条only once every fortnight. More vege and tofu and yong tau foo, less bak chor mee and western food. Plus resume 30min daily walk with dog instead of slouching on couch.
Why - I am only 22 weeks and I have put on 10kg!! TEN!! This is despite my once a week yoga, Pilates and swimming sessions. And I dont't even snack on chips, ice cream etc.
My old man also commented "wa, you so heavy now" when we bd recently.
I told myself i can only put on 16kg for this whole pregnancy and now i only have 6kg to go!! cannot ! I'm also scared i'll get gestational diabetes (diabetes is a common trait in my family).
I suspect the immense weight gain has to do with all the unhealthy, not nutritious intake of carbonated drinks and margarine and the fried food. As I said, i am exercising and also never snack and I regularly take 3 meals a day with fruits.
So yes - I am going back to the lifestyle i once embraced with warm water and non-oily healthy eating. This is also better for lil' muffin. And to be honest, I felt more "cleansed" and less lethargic then too.
Ok - other than my massive weight gain (I dont't wanna look like Jabba the Hutt!!) - all is good. Lil' muffin is moving / jabbing more often now (feels like tsunami internally). Thanks for asking dragontail - *muacks*
littlej-hahahaha i fully understand. Mine will rather not eat any fruits if you ask him to cut. The word 'dont know how' is super powerful words that guys use. haha.
sometimes ask him go buy nuts or whatever, he will say i dont know ..you go . sigh.....
Littlej, wahhah funny on both kiss the ass and how your hubby wanted you to cut the apples! My man also like that. Must cut the fruits and present them nice nice then he may eat a few pieces. If put some 酸酶粉 on the side that he might eat more. Strangely most husbands here are like that!!
I think the change of diet is a good thing littlej. I have a feeling I will get good if I am preggie. My last checkup at the gynae he wanted me to do blood test because there seemed to be traces of sugar in my urine. The test result came back normal but I googled and the readings actually meant very borderline case. Though doc didnt think I need to do anything, I feel the need to control before it gets out of hand. My diet used to be alot of carbo (pastries, cakes, bread). These will breakdown into sugar eventually in our digestive system. Actually I have to be careful with cereal too because some are loaded with sugars. I will read labels carefully if I want to explore new brands. Now I put more vegs in my sandwiches, noodle soup.
So jiayou!!! Prevention is better than cure
Hehe tsunami in you now....I heard my gf mentioned she did feel her baby doing somersault in her tummy! So cute.
littlej: i thought you can ask your doctor how much is considered healthy weight gain?
hi ladies ! AF showed her stupid face yesterday
someone mentioned about traditional chinese medicine at marine Parade, does he also do acupuncture ? and would anyone recommend a good acupuncturist ? I looked at the package at Raffles hospital, not cheap at all but apparently she's quite good.
oh my I read about dragontail's bff's friends cousin. I think she's the kind of person who never reads her body and insensitive to changes. Im sure also no period she didnt question lol
tricky- thought you same cycle as me? urs short cycle?
littlej- maybe baby boy heavier? eat healthy most impt..got drink milk?
