Superwoman: I think we will all do the best that we can to protect and bring up our child. Hopefully they do not grow up to be selfish human beings...

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

Oh my Dragontail - boars!!! So dangerous!!! And I admire your courage to go so near and take the photo. I would have hidden somewhere far far away.

Happilymarried oh happilymarried - why you still go out. 乖乖 stay home and get the man to serve you... Hahaha I was really a homebody most of the time during first trime. I worked from home as much as possible, only social outings were for cny (and i didnt even do much visiting too) and church... And one to two occasional outings... Only second trime then woo hoo - freedom!!! I saved super a lot of $$$ during first trime (which I have spent in second trime....). Anyway my personal advice is stay home and just rest and become fat. i put on like 4 - 6kg during first trime. I know it sounds a bit extreme but well, even the doc told me to just rest and minimize going out (he even wanted to give me hospitalization leave or mc!!).

My old man drives better than me. So I have nothing to say. He doesn't allow me to drive his car cuz he scared I will kerb his car or scratch his precious rims. Hahaha.

Oh cyclists - Seriously! Singapore roads are not meant for cyclists!!! We ain't Vietnam nor china and even in Vietnam or china - the bicycles are the Lao Kok Kok ones - not the super racer bikes so these can't weave here and there and go fast!!!. I mean - safety first i feel. I see big group of cyclists occupying the extreme left lane - yes it is safer but you know heavy vehicles also drive on that lane. And then, that changi stretch of road is so dark and everyone knows cars will be speeding there so dont't risk your life and cycle on that road! I think that until the day Singapore has built a road just for cyclists, I think cyclists should consider safety first and cycle at areas deemed safer ie parks and Ubin. Life is more important. During my uni days, night cycling was a big thing and I always thought that is dangerous cuz night time is when cars tend to speed and what's worse - drivers who drink and drive... So why take the risk...

I also believe in the old adage of "spare the rod and spoil the child"... I dont't understand this whole thingy about naughty corner and that. I mean, that's what I read about to bring up a dog - puppy should be brought to a naughty corner when the puppy misbehaves... How does this apply for humans since humans are more advanced and can talk back?!? I mean - I was brought up in an environment whereby I wasn't caned but I was spanked and scolded and knelt in front of goddess of mercy. If it worked then, why doesn't it work now?!?

But of course I dont't believe in dragging the kid a few feet and capital punishment... But I still think physical hitting is necessary to get the point across.

I say all these now ... I dont't know what kind of mother I end up being... Hahaha!

Morning ladies! 12dpo and expected arrival of AF. Did a test with CB and got a bfn.

Going to make an appointment to see a fertility specialist. Am really disappointed. But I guess I knew it was a goner month when bbt dipped for second consecutive morning. But still.....

Woke up to a rainy morning and I guess that sums up my mood.

Huggies Shez. Dont give up hope! Which fertility specialists have you shortlisted?

Littlej, Rav, the wild boars at ubin are not scared of people. When I was snapping the pics, there were at least 50 people around, curious about all these porky. These porky family were trying to ransack the bicycle baskets (with food obviously). There are also a lot of cats and dogs in the island. I like my trip accompanied by animals

For driving, I choose to think I am a better driver than my man. I have longer driving experience than him (ok this statement doesn't equate a better driver but I still think I am regardless). He is an impatient driver because everyday he rides his vespa to n fro work. Being a motor cyclist, he can reach his destination faster compared to driving, especially during peak hours/jam. So when he goes behind the wheel, his riding pattern/attitude shows up. Little little bit he tsk tsk tsk in the car. I have to remind him frequently take it easy. Feeling impatient in the car is not going to get us any quicker to our destination. And when I drive, he will subconsciously tell me "go behind that blue car", "change lane to the right". Just because that will make us 5 seconds faster. I dont like to be told how to drive. Haa. I will remind him "eh you doing it again".

Okok those are just laments In terms of safety, I still feel I drive better than him. Period.

littlej - get my man to serve me.. haha I told him my gals on this thread asked him to do that.. he gave me that funny look & said.. ".. online netizens!" i told him cannot be rude!! as for driving, if he rams curb 1 more time, I will take over our driving. I may be fast, but im accurate n safe also. n our car has 0 hits from me - hurhur.. me so proud

I also believe in good discipline for children from young. in fact, think later generation must start younger cuz their brains mature much earlier & probably get more defiant earlier than our era.

As for kid "punishment", I will never ever use a rod/similar to hit my child. I have had gone through it and till now I still dont understand why my father had chosen to do that (when I was very little. Not when I was 20 which is a different thing all together). I believe I would have learnt if he were to talk sense with me. I can remember vividly why and when I was hit (surprisingly my childhood memory is very strong). And those times the reasons seemed very silly. I remember I was very scared and I felt very hurt (inside). I was never close to my father.

As for my hubby, he says he will sure soot-soot his naughty child jialat jialat. But from what I see, he will never do it. Haa. Say only. He is a very gentle person.

But , like what littlej says, we wont know till we are faced with that challenge for real one day. Kids brains and growing speed are so different from our old times. Who knows my "principles" may change when my child gets out of hand. Hehe we'll never know till then....

I also woke up way too early today to c hubby fiddling with his phone. sigh..first thing he always does the moment he open his eyes & the last thing before sleep... had a little chitchat with my man and silly scared guy tried to feel for baby kicks on his own accord! Not bad ...hahaha. lucky its a sunday, later you can nap all you want again

hows your ms? Taking small nibbles constantly will help to keep it away. you will be feeling in no time when you reach 2nd tri. Time passes fast after that. Start the day with a smile k? Hugs

Happilymarried oh no now your turn! Do you have the nose sticking thing for his snore? I find it works a bit on my snoring pig.

I knew it...the after-cycling ache. My lower back is aching from the mountain biking and quite rough uphill terrain. My arms also. I shall go for massage later! Better do it before ovulation comes

I guess we will all learn & adapt as we go along the road of bringing up out kids. True there is no sure way..might turn out to be a tiger mum. Kekeke...

My hubby as innocent & quiet as he looks will be super strict if we r having a son. Coz thats the military way he was brought up. Not a bad thing too since he used to doing his laundry & cleaning his room since sec 4. He always calls me a spoilt brat :x if we r having a gal then will be like mummy pampered . Hahahah

I had borderline hyper thyroidism or something that was discovered during my tcc... ahhh I have so many problems!

Shez I understand how you feel as i felt the same one year ago. Do consult a fertility specialist and I really hope there are no major issues for you but if need be, I believe the fertility specialist will help you. Meanwhile, dont't give up and continue to trying to concieve though you must not feel stressful too. I may not be the right person to advise cos I'm still on the waiting list (for the stork and for ivf) but at least I know I tried.

Happilymarried y feel grouchy? It's a beautiful Sunday so go wake your hubby up for some breakfast and go for some slow walk? Or just laze and cuddle at home

Dragontail those wild boars are really cute. It's been a long time since I last went ubin too and I certainly hope the island will remain carefree cos the last I read, the island is going to be redeveloped into some lifestyle hub?

my sister In law still canes her children when they are like 16 (at least). and the cane she bought is the same as the one they use in school caning or jail caning.

once the caning was about the children bring in the food to the bedroom to chit chat. it was one kid's birthday. she shouted and got all of them to stand in one line, then cane them infront of us all.

that is not the type of caning i am looking for. to me a child has his/her right even to be a little naughty sometimes.

Thanks for your kind words ladies! I'm by nature optimistic so I will bounce right back up! ESP with all d enthusiasm and kindness in this forum. Hahahaha.

My hubby's friend strongly recommended one who has come up in this forum before. Littlej's doc chan! Wahahaha. So I we are likely to make a visit to him.

Quincy, I know it might be a bit early - 12dpo. But my AF is due today. That's why I tested.

Littlej is famous . One see chew one going to see chan. Hehheh.

Yesterday at the family gathering, my sis (I also call her bff here sometimes because she is ) and I were talking about trying to concieve. Before that I noticed something "strange" as I saw her hubby ordered chye dao gueh and zhui gueh for brekkie. He has always been a meat person. Every meal must got meat. Then my sis explained that they are trying for a girl. She researched that if a man eats less meat, higher chance of a girl. They are going for their 2nd ivf end this month. Hopefully it's a success and it's a girl!!

Quincy: The online cheapies I bought states 10mIU. It did give a clear line whereas first response very very faint. Read that first reponse alot of neg reviews too. Stick to clearblue more reliable .
