So, for fun. Which would you choose?

    A) A daughter who goes out party every other day. Probably smokes. Hangs out more with friends than with you (aka mom).

    B) A son who stays home all day long. 宅男 type. Hardly any friends. Probably plays computer game at almost all waking hour.
Definately B! Coz my hubby & I r gamers too. So can share and discuss play tactics with my boy. Muahahaa

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

Thanks happily married, all is fine though I'm still a bit pissed with hubby for making himself sick for so long. Until now, he is still coughing despite his last drinking session 2weeks plus ago...I'm getting crazy listening to the thunderous cough noises. Been another stressful day at work again...sigh...hardly got time to login to chat...wanted to throw the towel in so many times but the fact that I've only got 2.5 mths more to go, I lun.....lately, I keep feeling like crying....even when I was attending the childbirth class just now, I felt like crying. I told my hubby to watch out for me in case I sink into depression but he doesn't seem to get it. He continues to happily watch his show...sometimes I feel like I'm talking to a log...

sorry for the rant...been a long day for me.....

Littlej, those were very cute ultrasound pics...the kkj so obvious....mine I can only see the ball ball...cannot see the elephant trunk...

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

    Hello!!

Dragontail - I would choose A cuz hahah it shows my kiddo is more outgoing and street wise. But eh I hope it doesn't mean she is sleeping around ?!? I asked my old man the same question and he said B - his worst fear is A! he scared of retribution for all the bad stuff he has done to girls! =p hmm - I think I chose A cuz I was once like that... But now play enough, 长大了...

Oooo! My appt went well today. Erm I put on 13.5kg. Lil muffin is 1.425kg. But hahaha I had a fairly heavy dinner before the appt (doc was crowded so we went for early dinner first) so hmm I think that attributed to a bit of the weight gain?!? Oh gosh... How!!! I am actually 63.5kg now... Doc didn't say anything about the weight gain though - he just said ok still look slim and blood pressure all good and asked if I am exercising which I said ya - yoga, Pilates and walking.

Oh saw a bit of lil muffin's face! Before he went to block using his hands again!!! Chubby cheeks and a nice nose according to doc.

And poor muffin is staying in a 1 room studio. He is now head down and his living quarters look quite cramped.

Anyway - i asked if should do c sect with ga, c sect with epidural or natural and he encouraged natural. But you know what - I just found out today that doc is on leave from 15 to 27 sept - extremely close to my edd on 3 oct. so what if I go for natural and muffin pops out when he is not around?!? Then it defeats the purpose of me paying the exorbitantly high package fees right?!? How how!! =(

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

Happilymarried - my 2 bedder is 1000 sq feet. And the study room is small. I am fully utilizing all 4 walls with one wall - piano, one wall - cot, one wall - 2 door wardrobe + study table... Last wall is where the windows are so can't do much there. Maybe there will be some drawers in future for toys. And confinement aunty will probably sleep in the middle. As you can tell... There isn't going to be much space to walk after fitting everything.

I am looking for a white cot too! But honestly most cots come in natural oak or wood.

Natalie - what cot did you get?

I always believe in street smart and if they enjoy now..they will settle down as they grow older as dont feel like partying anymore...

C-section is usually two wks before the edd..wouldnt it clash with the gynae's holiday?

littlej dont worry about the weight! I put on 18kg at my peak and was 66kg! Lost them all but 4kg (attributed it to lack of discipline in eating less and no exercise!) but no one could tell except the weighing scale. Not to worry babe!

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

Tvh - awww... Guess your hubby also can't help it and probably feeling quite terrible with all the coughing. Maybe you can get him robutuskin (dont know how to spell) - the bottle form - I find it works for me everytime and I used to cough quite badly last time esp since I smoke too. Alternatively, I find the doc at horizon medical clinic at sin Ming pretty good for curing coughs. The med he gave was power - expensive but wow my incessant 1 week cough was cured in 2 days.

Anyway cheer up! Look at happy baby stuff!! Surf around for wardrobe, beansprout pillow etc. look at all your scan pix and think about how much your boy has grown! Maybe you can also think about doing an album of the scan pix?!? I find that keeping myself busy keeps the sadness and loneliness away (ESP you know my old man works a lot and plays a lot of golf too). In fact - he is going to play golf both sat and sun this weekend so I am planning to start on my album of scan pix =) oh - are you planning to do a maternity / newborn photoshoot? Maybe you can surf around for that too and see happy newborns =)

Oh littlej, we r in the same boat. My gynae will confirm be away during my EDD. He said he will arrange for a cover. I was like....then what for I see him when he isn't going to be around for my delivery and I dont't even know his replacement obgyn. I can't feel a connection to the replacement obgyn....but sigh...I think can't be helped....

My hubby thinks his cough is triggered by his nasal fluid trickling down his throat. He thinks he is the doctor, can self diagnose. Today is his 3rd time seeing the doc. If still not ok, he'd better go see a specialist. I'm seriously gg mad..

TVH: hey since your hubby still sick, why not put away the grudges, give in a step, n maybe bring him to doc or give him medicine to sooth his cough? Maybe it makes him feel different?

Littlej: oh dear! then if doc chan is away when you give birth, than who is gg to take over him? Ya I agree his charges is very high n its so unfair if another gynae deliver for you n its at dr chan rate. Now im starting to worry. Im with dr chan too. :/

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

Thanks for taking part in the A or B silly question. Ha.

I think I can quite come to a conclusion. The answer is usually quite a reflection of the one who's answering it. My answer is A by the way. Because I was once quite like that too. My rationale is I dont want to pop a child who stays home all day with no other life (I dont mean you, Rav! Haa just a hypothetical thought), no friends, dont know what's going on with the world outside. I may not see my girl (for Answer A) often but at least she's out there and that's what life exploration is about.

Wah littlej your 2 bedroom is already 1000sqft. My coming house 3 bedroom is much lesser than 1000sqft. No one will be allowed to grow fat in my house!

Oh did you get a 3D scan this time?

Erm... ok I dont know about this... but if say one really needs to pop when our own gynae is out of town, do you mummies know who will be the covering gynae?

I do have a preloved white baby cot which I bought about 8-9years ago. It's such a pretty cot!!! I paid I think $150 or $120. Guess "who" I bought it for? My two dogs. Ha! They loved it. They loved to jump on it and wrestle themselves away on the mattress and they slept there Now, it's dismantled and kept away at a relative's place. But I'm not going to reuse it for my baby . Will probably just throw away in due time. But I havent done it because I cant bear to throw! Still in very good condition. Next time if I have a dog maybe I will use it again. lol. (provided I have the space!).

TVH..ooohhh I can remember long cough is very disturbing. Maybe accompany him to see a traditional chinese medicine? My hubby was once coughing too and Dr Wu's powder did help.

BTW, tonight's supposed to be clear army night. My man knocked out already. Guagua. Tomorrow night then try.

Sigh I tried to be understanding but the stress I'm facing at work gets to me too. When I come home and unable to have a peaceful time, it seriously drives me mad. All I want is just quiet time...he just keeps saying he is getting better but honestly he sounds worse than the day before. I'm even contemplating moving back to my parent's house to escape for a while or taking stress relief pills. He refuses to see traditional chinese medicine doc cos he said traditional chinese medicine will only help if you see at early stage but his cough has been lingering for close to 3 weeks....I dont know what he wants

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

Gnissim - you with dr chan too?!? Aiya he is away 15 to 27 sept (I think 27 or 23) so dont't think it will clash with your edd right?

Tvh - when is your doc away? People say usually first child comes early so if he is around then should be ok? I was upset that they didnt tell me about it earlier when I signed the package. I mean, I could have chosen another doc right. And the dates he is away - I can't even opt for c sect (as mentioned by Natalie). The nurses then said dont worry the last time he went away there were no deliveries but I was like eh how to predict?!? Additional stress now.

    Yup I got a 3d scan today =)

Dragontail - oh we bought a resale. So that's why bigger. But well - no extra room for helper or even guests. So I think 2 bedder works well for a singleton or a couple but for a family - hmm. My neighbor with the same apt configuration as mine has 2 children and a helper. She told me her helper sleeps in the living room and the 2 kids share a room. I was like wow - no privacy with the maid zzzz ing in the living room ... And I am one who like my privacy...

Oh Dragontail - you are so funny! You bought a cot for your doggies! Hehehehe! I recently bought this doggy bed at Plc which is water resistant so if there are any "accidents" can wash off. And can easily be wiped too. My dog loves it and she is super cute - she will sometimes bring her toys to the bed and play in it. Oh and wow - you have the cot for 8 years?!? Hahaha I usually donate stuff away I have not't used in a year.

Hmm. You can ask him to see the doc at horizon medical clinic. Very good.

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

tvh - if the fluid trickles or drips from back of nose to throat - this type of cough i have gotten it before. it got so bad that i had to get out of mrt last time cuz it was like a coughing fit. & i just could not recover even though i had it for weeks. in the end, my remedy was to try all sorts of flu meds. since its the mucus from nose that is irritating the throat. AND no no no stress relieving pills for yourself!! breathe in & breathe out. & look at pics of your baby boy. you are so very close to holding him!! work will always be there.. n work stress will always be there too... so try to do your best. that's it. when you get home at night, do not think of work anymore! get hubby to 'hang out' on the couch while you get some quiet rest time in the bedroom. & take more fruits ya? Dont catch any germs from hubby..

Ya it is really unpredictable. Maybe you should faster discuss with him n see what he advice you if lil muffin decides to pop. Or did you ask him which gynae will cover him?

littlej & tvh - oh dear! gynae not around nearing your EDD!! that is bad! must ask them who is the covering doc... actually tvh - this was another reason why i didnt continue with prof ng... i had already started my jabs for ivf#1 with him (2-3 days), i called up to wanna re-arrange my appt for egg scanning due to a last min work meeting, his nurse said he will be away for some conference/seminar for a week or so.. i asked who can take over becuz just scan to see eggs growing n monitor lining etc to adjust my injection dosage. nurse told me the other 2 partners both appt FULL!? i hung up. fed up. made appt with my current gynae n brought my entire medical file over to her. she scanned n readjusted my dosage.

littlej - did lil muffin cover his face in the 3D scan? Or doc managed to get a great shot in 3D? hahaha... why muffin so shy! maybe doc needs to gently 'shake shake' him a bit then he will do something with his fingers (ahem!) and hands will not be on the face? hahaha

wontonmee & littlej - 60plus kg?! omg... that is a scary number.. for me ... becuz.. i put on around 2-3 kg already and i am less than 6 kg to be on par with hubby's weight! =( yesterday i sat on his lap & he was on his beloved computer chair.. and when i got up.. his thighs were all red.. he said he tahan my weight now.. but if it goes up.. no more sitting on his lap.
