Ebichan: pr got subsidy as well. But pr subsidy is lesser. If I never rmbr wrong, sg plus sg subsidy is 75 or 50%. then sg plus pr is 50% or 25%. :/ pardon me. Later I go dig the website for you ok

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

gnissim, thank you for the good informative link!

Dragontail, been trying consciously for 2 months out of 6 months since trying to concieve. as in 2 times I 'religiously' try to chart and see when O etc etc.
Think I roughly know when but this month tried using OPK too.
Will continue for the next 3 months I guess with OPK and industrioulsy charting.
I cant reveal the name of my doctor as he is a family member. It is at Mt E.
Our whole family (women members) go to him so I think I will just stick to him although I dont think he is a fertility specialist.

ganbatte 2WW ladies. I have strong PMS symptoms sigh... AF supposed to come in 6 days

Yes happilymarried, I agree it's really depend on luck ... like I was not very lucky to get a 2 bedder at Thomson but it's so old and the aircon not working and lots of ants n lizards around.... give me the crap shitz why is the room sooo bad.... ask for change of room but it's fully booked
dragontail - I think when they say expensive.. its also depandant on the type & number of complications the mummy has during delivery.. cant compare right to the dot also.. e.g. how many times doc check on you during contractions (assuming normal delivery). when you add up all together.. its also the doc's consultation during the pregnancy journey & all the tests ordered by doc that you have to take.. etc...

My friend says dr chan is celebrity doc cuz he delivered for goh chok tong's daughter and mark lee's 2 kids. Hahaa. Anyway hope that it is really money well spent. For me - most bo hua if he is away when lil muffin decides to come out... I will be asking him on 6 aug at my next appt on replacement doc and next steps.

Dragontail - hee hee you very funny!!!! Sleep on rhs !!! Hahaha. Anyway hope that this will be a fulfilling month! Oh... And enjoy phantom! Hope you dont't snore =p

Happilymarried - hee hee no need to feel guilty. I am taking a one bedder at glen e. my logic is - this could possibly be my one and only kid so I can pamper myself =) and I am already so old - need to give myself some comforts...
Littlej I am really find out more of Dr Chang since he is about the same rate ($800) that I pay for Dr Sim.... and you mention his machines are super which is a plus point for me and he is patient (bonus point for me) ... dont know if his sewing skills will be good (he will be an awesome choice as my gynea) .... hehehe

I know it's still too early to decide...but I am also geared to one bedder. Hee. Hubby says wants to sleep over night with me in case I need help (he told me that when we first did a maternity tour at Kandang Kerbau Hospital).

Ebichan, hope to hear good news from you soon! Remember to take some supplements. Like folic, omega oil, royal jelly etc.

If it is one bedder, your husband could stay overnight with you..but some hosiptal charge extra if there is someone staying overnight..

I feel that one bedder has more privacy...and the nurses would usually not be so particular about the visitors coming after the visiting hours..

Ebichan, yes sleep alone for one bedder. But you can have your hubby sleep over so that will be nice. Are you afraid of sleeping alone? Hee I'm ok with sleeping alone in hospital/hotel.

Agree with natalie. Single bedder the hospital staff are more flexible on visitors. I have big relative group. I presume they will visit me when we got a baby???

actually another thing about single bedder apart from the cost... is to have the best undisturbed rest right after popping.

ebichan yes it is sleep alone.. & I guess you will be very very tired, dont think you will be scared of being alone.. hubby can stay with you at extra cost too.

Agreed, single bedder is more about privacy, imagine 2 bedder, then your room mates has more friends b relatives visiting, then you wont have rest... or snoring?? Or talking loud??

    hahahahaha
Im also opting for single bedder, so hubby can sleep with me.... but provided financially allowed at that time, am also worried about the natural birth then c-cect

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

I also scared of sleeping alone in hospital.... but I feel after my bad experience in a 2 bedder, like what missy say, my neighbor was snoring away so loudly and she has lots of visitors, not forgetting the frequent and different times the nurses come and check on the mummies (it was like every half an hour, how to sleep???). I did not sleep at all during my 2 nites stay in the hospital and I also can't use the toilet as the toilet is always used by my neighbor's visitors one thing I feel very shy was when you hear alot of visitors at the next door and I was so stressed trying to learn how to breastfeed from the nurse when you know there are guys in the same room, you are only protected by a curtain @~@

Call me fussy but I really prefer to have some peace and quiet after my labour hehehe

    Baby horse , welcome!
Totally understand it is hard to get into the mood for sake of baby making.
I did not do it on the day of smiley but night before.
Husband does not react well either to these planned sessions lol
