missA - haha. I love just a bite of all the varieties.. I especially love the yam (the pastry looking ones).. but only afraid they are always too sweet... will lead to high sugar level which is no good...

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

littlehammie - my costs for EYS traditional chinese medicine at paragon are below... i found it to be quite expensive cuz i was paying lots for my doc visits... plus EYS not effective for me.. body didnt feel warmer... in fact, i felt just as cold when i was in aircon.. i even asked for extra blanket while doing accupunture at every visit...

    1) Accupuncture is $100 (had to do it 2x a week)
    2) Consult is $40
    3) 7 days of packet powder is $60-80 (twice daily)

It was expensive as i didnt think EYS was worth it... If anyone gets BFP with help of EYS especially from paragon, do share with me... i would like to know as well...

Got back from Dr Yam, his front desk nurse is so cute and very motherly to the patients, so nice to be treated with such good attention.
so he saw the sac in the uterus and was a big relief for him (and for me) he had told me that on Tuesday he diagnosed a patient with an ectopic and so he got a bit paranoid.

Happillymarried, my traditional chinese medicine cost 65$ each week : acupuncture and medicine (taken for 7 days) and felt warm very fast. He's cheaper than a lot of other tcms but very efficient. Chia Kit Chay medical hall

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

Agree with all that trying to concieve is such an emotionally draining journey! Threw a tantrum last night with hubby because my AF came and then he is on night shift this week so when I went to bed at midnight he was still working.. so all alone at home, no one to cry to about AF coming and so threw tantrum over sms to hubby. He came home and then gave me a kiss on my cheek and somehow I woke up and said GO AWAY dont'T COME NEAR ME. Woke up feeling so bad but really cldn't control the emotions last night.

Sms-ed him today to apologize and told him the reason why and he said ok just be pissy with him since I feel super sian. Haha. Made me feel even more guilty!! So even though my mood is still isn't very good today I promised him I won't throw tantrum tonight.

    Hi Keikokon

Its the same here with me. I get really pissed with my husband who I sometimes think exhibits over confidence when it comes to trying to concieve
everytime we do it he would say, so maybe Baby Get? (meaning we will be successful) but I think its not just do once around O date but a few times
and he cant seem to understand this

I get extremely pissed off with him about that

But its also because i have a lot at stake, wanting to leave my job, my age, our age.

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

Quincy - Dr ann tan's clinic usually last appt is at 430-445pm.. but her nurses should be there til 530pm i think.. best time to call is actually 9-930am or 2-230pm. Sometimes she has surgeries to do, so whole afternoon she is not in clinic, but her nurse will always be around from 9-5pm. Lunch is 1-2pm - no one answer call during lunch hr. I cant recall if new appt can be on sat.. you can check? I had my first appt on a weekday, took half day leave with hubs & went over with my medical file. I think if she diagnose you with no big issues, dont stick with her due to the huge cost in the long run... Did you google for Dr Loh Seong Fei? If my ivf#2 failed, i would be seeing him.... not that dr ann no good.. but i just thought change doc also change fengshui a bit... haha...

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

tricky - congrats on seeing the sac!!! did you also see the flickering heartbeat? That is a magical moment....

tricky & littlehammie - the EYS specialist clinic at paragon is indeed ex.. which is why i stopped becuz my body no change!! branded so what? my body not warm means not warm & i didnt wanna bluff myself that traditional chinese medicine was working... so i stopped... if any ladies chance upon good traditional chinese medicine like Dr Wu (littlej & dragontail) or yours (tricky) must try to recommend... the only reason i saw EYS was because they are quite a reputed chain & my gynae's clinic also in paragon.. but seems like i wasted my $ on EYS... =(

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

happilymarried: I read in other forum that there is something about her service that is kind of nice. 1 example is her staff are very helpful. and I read many success stories with her for iui. actually I started with more than enough budget for at least 1 iui. that is from my mid year bonus. but I think I over spent a little. so I was hoping can use card somewhere

i will think about it over ann tan and loh seong fei.

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

Keikokon, your hubby so sweet. He probably understands how draining all this is.

Happilymarried, no I didn't get the chance to get the heartbeat, I think too early I'm only 4 weeks and 4 days. But seeing the sac was such a relief hehehe

i think traditional chinese medicine medicine has to be doubled with acupuncture, from what my physician told me the body has to be in great balance for pregnancy to occur and stay strong unlike other ailments.

For Dragontail, hoping you pop up here for a chat, my traditional chinese medicine told me a story about a 42 yo lady who came to him for back ache pb (around the kidney area) he did acupuncture on her for several weeks when one day he felt her pulse and told her she's pregnant. She didn't believe it because she said she had been trying for a child and was diagnosed unexplained fertility. She really really didn't believe him until she tested because she missed her period. Anyway because he had treated her kidneys, he decided to do the same on me and poked needles on my kidney back area so I could get the same effect and it worked.

when I was in sec school, I squat down and have difficulty standing up. see many black spots infront and almost faint. so from then found out I was anemic.
then as I grow up no more such situation. but on bus / train rides I get headaches or feel giddy. not sure if this is anemia or motion sickness.

    We are trying to concieve-ing!

    Hello!

Dragontail - condolences. And hope to see ya soon...

. The emotional turmoil with trying to concieve - I went through that. Initially just kept it inside me, then wept in front of old man (who was like a sotong and couldn't understand what was wrong - even till today, he still can't understand. Now he dares to tell me he thought I was crazy)... Then I started shunning friends who are pregnant (my old man also thought I was weird to do so)... Then I met you folks and gosh, you won't believe how relieved I felt. To know that I wasn't weird or strange or insane. And everyone here really helped. Thank you.

Ebichan- smiley face then bd that day. And every alternate day. I bd 2 days before I had smiley, the day of smiley, and 2 days after smiley. And another 2 days after.

Actually for a doc to help with trying to concieve - I would personally recommend dr chew - not ya ya chan. Cuz ya ya chan just kept asking me go iui. Failed once still ask me to Try again. And he never gave dates to bd. I thought dr chew is better. At least he is more pro natural and try all ways natural first. But would I recommend dr chew as the doc after bfp - I wouldn't. That said - I heard yaya chan is very good at ivf.

Oh gosh - I wonder if docs and nurses come and read!!! I mean - they'd know it is me right?!? Imagine if I go see doc Tham next Friday and he asks me "so are you littlej?"?!?

Re: We are trying to concieve-ing!

littlej: initially my hubby dislike me crying. he will scold me for crying. I was in disbelief of how a man can be more unfeeling. now he is someone who I pamper so much and equally pampers me back in return.

morning everyone. to continue on the discussion on my t-tc journey. hubby and I will try for natural once more after my af. today is my CD2. if the next cycle fails then we will embark on iui. because he hasn't been confirmed at work yet. still in his 3 months probabtion. then if the iui fails, that will be the end of our t-tc journey. I read elsewhere that couples who are so much more "normal" than us ended up doing ivf. I feel that they are so poor thing.

fighting everyone ! hugs to my t-tc buddies so glad to see all your posts although quite emo (sorry hehe).
